"Like I say, they use standard pirate tactics. They interdict vessels and grapple on physically, for boarding. If hitting a planetary target they use privately owned ships; groups of small ones. They disappear into space when chased and we don't really have the resources to pursue the issue.
"We do have one crime scene intact for you. There was an attack yesterday. But it is unusual."
Oh heck, I had not registered you are a Renegade, Rusky. In that case, can you work out a back story with Xeth about why you know him? And you can be helping him.
(He'll have built his own crime fighting team at this rate!)
Gundy's a tad tied up, but don't worry, you can carry on with that mission- the only reason it is stalled right now is that Marcus asked Gundark a question. if any of the rest of you want to check out the hotel, go ahead.

"Well, two reasons," says Marios. "First of all, we cannot identify the motive of the attack. Whilst the pattern of other attacks has been random, they have all at least had some point. These people are pirates and they take anything of value- cargo, personal possessions, anything. They take it from ships, ports, towns... anything. But that does not track for this target- there was nothing of value there.
Secondly, this time they didn't kill everyone. At least, not on site. They took someone alive. Now, it's not impossible this has happened before, Slaves fetch a good price and it is not easy for us to confirm everyone is dead after an... incident. But this is the first time we are sure someone was taken alive, and combined with the lack of apparent motive for the attack... well, in short, this is not their usual pattern."
Yes, Rusky?
Matrix, it is rather important that we get these things hammered down or the game gets rather obscured for everyone else. You really should have these ideas by now. Now, which mission are you on? If it is the bodyguard one, PM Fire about it, if the Pirate one, PM tptmanno about it. But I need keep this thread with clear gaming, for the sake of the others.
