USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II, EPISODE I (LIGHT SIDE)- Conspiracy

Anzat crowd- we can move on to a mid-part interlude for you guys. We assume that you get your newly acquired vessel back to a rendezvous with your ships and a ship from Anzat Prime, who will tske care oif the prisoners for you (you guys don't have the facilities to take them anywhere and in any case local law enforcement really should take care of them- don't worry, Jedi Investigators will have full access if need be).

In this general period, new player Delfedd turns up. Delfedd is a Freelancer, another one of Xeth's Renegade buddies. Increasingly in this storyline now we are getting this poltline voa which Xeth and his friends form an organisation of Renegade Jedi, uniting and organising to more effectively tackle evil in the Galaxy by their own rules. Rusky and Densk were with Xeth as things started; Delfedd was indisposed elsewhere and has been late arriving.

In which case he turns up now, having hitched a lift on that Anzat ship. First thing you notice, Delfedd- these guys look a right mess. Xeth is in a particularly bad way. Other than feeling a little guilty for being late (though it really was unavoidable), you do kind of wonder what exactly it is that the others called you in to help with!

So if someone could fill in Delfedd just why all this has happened, I am sure he would be interested to know!

And here's a stroke of luck- the Athena's Owl,. a Nebulon-A Class Medical frigate, has just passed through the general area and is offering you medical assistance. Xeth could certainly do with that and it avoids a time wasting detour to Anzat Prime. Roan, you still need to contact the Council.

(grumbles)

Uh... hi. Um.... sorry i'm late Xeth. It couldn't be helped! i was on couricant and... well there was this starving Wookie. It was a bit hard to understand him, but i fed him, sheltered him. Turns out some Doshan slavers had brought him there, and he needed help returning to Kashyyk. You know i'm a bit of a softie... What'd i miss?

Oh, that ship will be going back to Anzat, Delfedd. You'll want to hitch a lift with Xeth, once he is well enough to fly.

Right, Coruscant peeps, I shall begin with the situation.

First Sequence starts now. First of all I make a speed roll, to see how many frames we are getting this sequence. I have rolled a one, which makes this a short sequence. I now add that one to everyone's Speed to get their starting frame number.

To check on your Speed, or your Strength, or your other stats and skills, check out your entry at the front of the Archival Record thread. Gunday, your character is at the back for now. In Part III, when the new force powers come in, the Archival Records will be re-designed for everyone to be up front; right now the latest arrivals (completed character wise) are stuck at the back.

What follows is the existing situation:

-----

CURRENT SITUATION AT: First Sequence, Frame 8

Viceroy's crashed vehicle

Gundark: 14/0/7
Jeb: 7/0/8

Second crashed vehicle

Clarion: 14/7/7
Jelena: 13/4/8
Gallagher: 15/5/8

-----

Reminder- those numbers are:

Force pool/Damage Taken/Current Frame

Ok, first of all, each Italicised location represents a different part of the battle. Clarion and co have not found Gundark's location yet and the distance between the two locations is unknown to you.

At this point, Clarion and co are out of their vehicle. Due to your rough landing, you guys are a little hurt already.

Gundy and Jeb are fine, but still in the vehicle. Your assailant just fired (indicating his Speed is higher than yours) and blew out the window.

Talking of assailants, you will note that only good guys are on there right now. The reason for this is simple- you haven't seen a bad guy yet. For sure, there is danger out there though. It will take at least a sequence for more help to arrive- you guys crashed pretty low down. And that sniper is a VERY precise shot, whoever it is.

Ok, quick tactics. This is an interesting fight- NONE of you guys are the hardcore combat killers that Roan was leading. Two of you, though, are Masters. The thing with Masters is that they are not quite as quick as they were, always racing around and doing stuff. You will note you are rather deficient in frames. Masters always have an issue of being a bit frame deficient. However, you are VERY skilled and very dangerous, and when you do act, you act decisively (especially Gundark's experience fattened character). This is the Master's way- patient and effective, not manic like Densk or Xeth.

Jelena and Gallagher are better at thinking than fighting also- but any Jedi, even an uncombat trained Acolyte like Gallagher, is damn dangerous in a fight. And you all have VERY high Force ratings- this will be to your advantage.

In fact, this fight is very suitable for you, because it is not a manic frantic battle. It is a thoughtful, tense stand off.

Everyone is free to act as they wish. As I say, no hostiles in sight yet.

Ok, a quick check from me has shown that no-one has Force powers that increase their starting frame number, so that solves THAT worry.

"Hello, Delfedd!" Xeth greets, extending an insectoid hand. "You missed the battle! There'll be more, I'm sure, but we eliminated the 'unkillable' leader of this little pirate gang..." Xeth motions to the pirates they captured (assuming we are at the rendezvous). "I was hit pretty bad, but I'll live..."

"You? A softie?" Xeth laughs. "I doubt it..." 😛

Meh. You know why i left the order. To much fighting an' killin. I hate that. I mean, versus droids, its ok, but sentient beings? it sickens me.

"I just think that the Dark Side gave you scare, Mr. I-Almost-Fell," Xeth says quietly, before resuming his wide double-mouthed grins. "You might have a hard time avoiding sentient beings on this mission, my friend..."

(We need to come up with a name for Xeth's organization if Ush thinks it is one... 😄 )

Hm i'll try to keep that in mind

"Good lad." Xeth pats Delfedd on the shoulder. "Now, we are going to report to Master Windu of our findings, then we continue on our search for a scientist we need to save...and Arazi..."

Xeth waits calmly for any questions Delfedd may have.

Bear in mind you are on a stretcher at this point, Xeth. You could do with being ported onto that medical frigate.

Delfedd will need a whole plot rundown.

(Oh joy...)

"Roan, I don't think I should be having long conversations..." Xeth says, tapping Roan's hand. "You want to tell him what has happened?"

(way to pass it off lol)

(Oh, of course! 😈 Though it does really concern me...)

"You know that mission I have been on the past two years?" Xeth asks. "Trying to prove that Shareth stole those battle droids?"

(Let's see if you read my profile, biatch... 😉 )

Jelena, lightsabers drawn, proceeds through the buildings trying to find Master Gundark's wreck, using Sense to the best of her ability to find her comrades.

(Did Gundy's pilot die?)

well of course. That was why you turned your back on the genosians. (mwuahahahahahahahahahah see! i read it!!!!!!!!!!!!)

"Close enough..." Xeth shrugged. "Well, it turns out that she did not steal them, they were given to her! By the Techno Union! The Taloraan Government sent several people like myself to investigate, but I am the only one remaining out of just over two dozen PIs. They died from sabotage..."

"I always suspected I'd pull more Jedi into the matter," Xeth says, indicating Densk, Rusky, and Roan, then to Delfedd. "And I have! My life is in danger, moreso than the usual life of a Jedi's is...oh joy..."

*Shocked* what? the techno union? but... they are in the senate! (maybe. Just makin it up.) they could be influencing The chancellor!

"Given" by the Techno Union is a little strong. More that it seems that someone looked the other way during the decomissioning process..

He;s out for the count, Jelena. And you think you can sense the right way...
