Jelena motions for Master Clarion and Gallagher to follow her, moving quickly through alleyways and across walkways in the rusted depths of Coruscant.

Gallagher follows.

Sense in use, Force Dodge for defense, lightsaber is out.

'Xeth! You made yourself quite the army here!"
*Extends Hand to Delfedd*
"I'm Roan Trilanger, And this Is my Pawawan Sunda*motions* If I can get you to give us a hand in getting everyone onto the ship and squared away I'd be thankful, as you can see we've been through a bit of a scrap here..."

Ush, I wanna basicly ask the captan to slave the ship we captured to his, so we tow it behind us... I wanna take it to coresaunt for Further anaysis and crap, It also has Xeth's ship on it....

Then I'll Dial up Mace...

Clarion brings up the rear, lightsaber out, proceeding slowly, will use evade for defense (Did I do that right?)

no
Evade is a cool trick to use after you get hit, you pay force to reduce your damage,
For an example on how to use it, I used it like 500 times in the fight against strine....

<Thanks Roan 😉 so I'll use force dodge the same as gallahger I guess>

NP

Pleasure to meat you Roan. *to sundra* and you must be sundra! why, its a pleasure to meat you also!

Alka it is a very bad idea to deactivate your sabre in combat time.

You can nab the boarding craft if you want, Roan, yes. You'll be going hom in Xeth's ship, though Xeth is still in no condition to fly.

"It's Sunda," says Sunda, curtly. He is in a bad mood since being shot.

Contact with the Council is easily established.

"Yes, Roan?" says Mace. "You have a report to make?"

-

Ok, Jelena, you think it will take about two sequences to get over to Gundy. However, you have barely taken four steps when your danger sense kicks in.

Clarion ignites her saber and turns around....

BTW ush, i have a ship of my own...

But you can't fly it, so it's not here. Might want to re-think that one.

Ok then... Jelena is in the lead, so she is the one who gets fired at!

Jelena will Force Dodge, trying to spot where the bolt is coming from as she goes strafes suddenly.

"Yea, We had, well lets call it an interesting time... *Spills all details...*"

um... yes... those jucy details

Oh yea, You'll want an update...

(as we discussed the other night, Ush....)

What I want to do is leave Jeb guarding the Viceroy and try to take out the sniper myself or at the very least draw his fire away from the wrecked hover car.

(is it just me or are we still moving at a snails pace)

That's because I am snowed under with college work.

(struggles to breathe)

Ok, Jelena, the gunman rolls a -3 for a 10, which is most certainly not a hit.

A quick look at how this works. When someone attacks someone, I roll my dice and modify the skill of the attacker by the result rolled, which is normally between -5 and +5. If the final result is equal or higher than the highest fighting skill of the target, that is a hit.

Every time you are attacked you may elect to take a Defensive Action. This represents you making some special extra defensive effort- the fact that someone needs to beat your fighting skill to hit you represents that you always make a basic effort to stay safe; taking a Defensive Action is extra effort. However, taking a Defensive Action costs a frame. Everyone can just take a standard dodge (called an Active Dodge); you need special abilities for other Defences.

So, what happened here was that Jelena's assailant fired with a skill of 13. There was considerable building cover in the way, but the firer has the Gun Trick 'Eagle Eye', which allows him to ignore cover.

Jelena's highest fighting skill (Lightsabre) is 13, so the gunman would need a +0 to hit. However, Jelena elected to use the Force Power Dodge, which increased her defence by 3 to 16.

As it is, the Gunman rolled a -3 anyway, for a 10, so the shot was askew in any case. But often, better safe than sorry.

You will note that the system therefore means that skill not only makes you more likely to hit, but also harder to BE hit. The Master's high skills are very hand yin this situatiion.

As a note- mooks never have a skill past 9. This person has a skill of 13, and possess Gun Tricks; the conclusion is that this is no mook!

It took you guys 3 frames to move into the alleyway Jelena chose; she also pays for her dodge.

Gundark, you leave Jeb behind.

"I insist that..." begins the Viceroy.

"Ssssssshhh..." says Jeb. "That guy might be homing in on your voice..." For the first time you know, the Viceroy is cowed into silence. Jeb gives a half-smile when the Viceroy isn't looking.

Takes you three frames to leave the vehicle, Gundy.
