Nume frowns. "Rah, what do you think that creature was?"

"It's watching us, I can feel it. I suggest we find it." Nume uses Sense again to try and find where the being is watching from, if that's possible.

(Also, Takuan, don't approach the man. I formulated a plan with Trickster, involving him looking convincing as a native. You can go with him too, if you so choose, since you are somewhat convincing...)

He was in that alleyway, Rand, but he has moved on now. You did see him though...

Wowsa! You just got a full 16 on your Savoir-Faire roll, Zinky. Want to know all about that species? Because seeing one alarms you.

"I think I recognize the species..." Nume says to the others with a slightly alarmed look. "Not a good thing..."

(Hit me, Ush!)

That, Rand, is an Osokan. One of the least pleasant and most deadly sentient species the Galaxy ever produced.

Their homeworld- whose name temporarily escapes me- is a hellish nightmare. That the Osokans successfully even evolved on it is a miracle. Little wander that they evolved into such a vicious species.

However, they were not the only speices to top the food chain. Sharing their homeworld- to this day- is an incredibly vicious form of dinosaur-like Raptor. From cradle to grave, Osokans have to live with the threat of being eaten by rampaging creatures. This is their life every day.

After about 50000 years of this, we have the modern Osokan. Short, squat, extremely tough- and deadly. With a regenerative constitution and a phenomenal natural combat instinct, this is the face of a race that lives on one of the least pleasant worlds ever seen, and shares it with dinosaurs, and has yet survived.

To be honest, they aren't much good for anything other than killing things. Mind you, they are very good at that. And it so happens they have actually created a relatively hi-tech society. But it is a very, very nasty society. Nominally Republican members, they are considered among the most evil people in the Galaxy.

But... and ... you aren't sure. For a moment there... you thought the one you saw was armed. And if so, that is wrong... way wrong. But you would want a closer look before you jump to conclusions. Because the Jedi had an unpleasant time with the Osokans, a while back.

One thing is for sure. If there is one place in the Galaxy you would never find an Osokan... it is here.

Galder's jaw tightens. "That is surely not a good sign. Especially if it is watching us."

Hmm, that's the problem, Galder. You, just like him, rather sticks out a mile. He must be wandering who YOU are.

"Definitely..." Nume mutters. "I think, perhaps, we have found Zatev..."

"I want a closer look, and you are all coming with me. They are deadly..." Nume makes his way towards the alleyway where he and Rah saw the Osokan. While moving towards the Osokan's last location, Nume takes out his comlink and contacts Takuan's group.

"Takuan, this is Nume. We have spotted a creature known as an Osokan. They do nothing BUT kill, and I unfortunately sure that it was armed. Continue investigating the star port, but watch out. Osokans are nasty. The Jedi Order had trouble with them no too long ago..."

In the meantime, though, Galder can make another roll. +1 for a 9- but this is accumulating as time goes by, and he has a lead.

It's coming from the silos, Galder.

Rand, you walk quietly into the alleyway... but you can see no sign of anything.

Tanic tells the others, "Listen, I've got a plan. Follow my lead, and please, don'tget recognised as an offworlder." He approaches the guy.
"Excuse me, I'm trying to find out what's going on. You don't seem to be from around here, but it looks like you're in charge and I was wondering whether you can tell me what's happening. Are you here from the republic?" he attepmts to take the role of a concerned merchant or otherwise curious citizen.

All the while he is using sense.

Tanic ignores the beep of the comm, knowing it will attract undue attention and relying on one of the others to answer it.

As you approached the man, Tanic, he was having a dispute with some merchants emerging from the starport. He had just finsiehd showing them identification, and you catch some words.

"...ind of thing is my business."

"Sounds like Jedi business to me," says one of the merchants.

"Yeah well- they are busy, I am here, and they are not, so you can answer to me. I'll need to search your ship."

"Proposterous!" one of them says. "We have rights!"

"Of course you do," says the man. "I understand your concerns, obviously. But if you do not co-operate with me, I'll have your trading license revoked. It will take just one call." They stare at him in amazement.

"You... don't...." begins one of them.

"You'd better damn well believe that I mean it," says the man. "Your ship, gentlemen. Open it up. Thankyou."

You arrive at this point, Tanic.

"Yes I am," he says. "Sorry, can I help you?"

"Sorry to in terrupt your duties, but could you tell me what's going on? From what I can see you're an off-worlder, so I guess you're from Coruscant? What have you been sent to do here?"

Tanic is still using Sense

"Nume, come along, I've got a better tracing of the signal!" Galder says. He whispers to Nume and the others, keeping his voice due to his suspiciousness that the Osokan was looking to bring in Kuylen's bounty. "He's in the silos. This way."

Galder leads them out of the alleyway and through the city, towards the silos.

"I wonder what they keep in those silos. Obviously not missiles."

He reaches into his pkcket and pulls out a wallter containing an id.

"Rado Helkin," he says. "Bureau of Immigration and Undesirables. I am here tracking a dangerous criminal."

Nothing odd, Tanic, but you are sensing a strong mind, just as Takuan did. But strength is apparent throughout his character. His tightly cut military-style uniform, and short-peaked officer's cap, helps give the impression of a man in charge. He has a colourful rank insignia on his left lapel.

(That's the BIU...)

(Find out who and what the criminal is, just to make sure...)

Nume nods and, using Sense one last time to see if the Osokan is still nearby, follows Galder, motioning for Rah and Vash to follow as well.

"Rura, be sure to tell us if you spot anything. Everyone else, be on your guard."

That's a thought, Galder. Pelloran is still offering a million credits on Kuylen's head. You know, you aren't sure WHY Pelloran is still alive...

Problem is, Galder, there is a forest worth of silos!

Okidokey, Observation rolls from Nume and Galder...

Nume is on form again- he spots the Osokan glancing at you again from behind one of the silos.

Damn it. He IS armed. Again, due to your big savoir-faire roll, I can tell you why that is a big deal, Rand...

You guys having fun? 😛
