Yea, they are mostly called after norse gods (Freja, Thor, Wodan...)
But interestingly in the roman languages they bear names from corresponding gods
like Friday (< Freja, goddess of fertility and love) - german freitag and so on
Italian Venerdì, french Vendredi, spanish vienes or something like that (*forgot*) coming from "Venus", the Roman Goddess of Love
Same for Thor - Jupiter and Tyr - Mars,
Still havent found the connection between Wodan/Odin and Mercury,
But the Roman names are also those of planets
Dating back to ancient Babylon where the days were named after the planets known at that time

I had band practice till...now, so I decided to stay in and read like lastweek, also may watch a couple of movie. I ditched school today again as this project we are doing sucks.....but its over now
Saturday
Bar lunch at the pub at 2pm, then off home to read,internet,watch tv,shower and then party down till early morning.....oh yeah baby!

bout the names of the days of the week 🙂 had nothing really to do with greeks though...

interestingly enough, all the languages except for the romance languages of western europe are called indo-european...just because there are some words that are similar in meaning and spelling???
