Everyone should read The Da Vinci Code. It includes an amazing interpretation of religion. I'm not religious in the slightest, but, wow.
Are you being sarcastic? 'The Da Vinci Code' is about as amazing as lump of charcol. If you are referencing works by Dan Brown in a philosophy forum, then you really need to expand your reading material. His books are crappy, pop-novels for people with short attention spans.
As fo the meaning of life...ask Monty Python. I think they know...If I remember correctly it's got something to do with fish and sperm...

In essence, the 'meaning of life' is to increase evolutionary fitness. Do you agree?
Brings me the the second thing. What I, er, think. I mean, what you said there about wanting to make a constructive contribution to humanity. That's my goal. That's what puts meaning into my own life. But, I think that everyone's life has it own meaning and purpose. For some, there is no meaning or purpose. I'm just saying, in the philosophical sense, you can't just tack a statement like that onto everyone in the world. Ya know? (Did that make sense?)
Now, if you're just talking scientifically, then yes. The meaning of life, as with every other animal, is to further evolution by selective breeding etc.
Not trying to sound like a know it all. Hope I didn't come of that way. 🙁
everyone on this thread, please go to www.google.com and do a seach on "what is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?" in those exact words.
