The meaning of life is get a phucking job to support yourself, help your fellow man, get a great love interest, and do it fast, because before you know it the question of defining the meaning of death will be upon you.

The meaning of life? I could sit here and tell you that the meaning of life is this or that or whatever you make it to be, and that's all fine and dandy, but the truth is there's only one thing in life that matters at all in the end.

Did you get saved?

I'm sure from many of my other posts around the forum you all can decipher what that means, but I'll say it anyway: Did you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Do you trust in Him and have faith that because He died for your sins, you can have eternal life?

In the end, that's the only thing that will matter.

honestly, i find this a bit offensive, like looking down on people.

Again, I ask not for faith, but for evidence, and there is no rational reason to require faith above evidence save to save face for the religious institutions.

Religious people often do that, it's cos they need validation for what they believe in, cos they have doubt. So they try to get others to believe what they believe as a means to make their "truths" seem valid. ie "If others believe in this nonsense, then I'm not an idiot for believing."

edit: Imagine if there was only one Christian in the world, people would think he/she were insane. "You think God became his own son and went on a suicide run to save humanity!?" But since there are about 2 billion in varying denominations, lunacy becomes sanity. Why people like Tom Cruise are trying to push Scientology on others nations, well at least one of the reasons.
