What Is The Meaning Of Life?

Started by Jmanghan52 pages

There is no meaning, we exist merely to exist.

We exist to live out our lives until the world ends.

Though if you were to ask God, I'm sure the answer he'd come up with is "Meh, I was bored, and lonely".

If you are an athiest, then the first explanation fits.

If you want to be just, super pedantic (and I do), this is contradictory.

"There is no meaning. We exist."

-Goes to look up what super pendatic means-

It's when your pedantry has to watch Krillin die and finally goes off the deep end.

It has no meaning.

There is a meaning to life. Everyone saying there is no meaning to life is incorrect. I'll let you in on a secrete, the meaning to life is the will of the strong over the will of the weak. Lifes goal is to become the strong will; the will of fire, if you will.

You're so f*cking adorable.

I'm halfway done with DS3, brah.

Anyway, the will of fire is from Naruto, LOL. Though Nietzsche used will of power, which was a similar concept.

Yes, let it go..let your secretes go.

Meaning of life is to experience it and make it as happy as one can for themselves and, if good people, others too

This, in a sense, summarizes all other questions asked. It is usually understood as: "What are the highest values, the Supreme Goals which I should try to achieve?". We stress that every human being must freely set those goals for himself or herself. The Supreme Goal which we choose derives logically from our cybernetic world view: to make a constructive contribution to the evolution of humanity, in order to maximize our long-term chances of survival (immortality). In essence, the 'meaning of life' is to increase evolutionary fitness. Do you agree?

The meaning of life is love. It's the one thing that gives us purpose, meaning, and happiness in an otherwise confusing and ****ed up world, it allows us to transform our impacts on other people's lives into a positive thing, to transcend the cycle of hurting ourselves and each other again and again and embrace each other to become something better.

Eat , Drink , Piss , Shit ,and then you die.

ITS MEANING PEOPLE!

I believe in God, and so I believe there's almost certainly an ultimate purpose to life. What that is, I don't know, but I don't believe a God would create us, the universe, etc., without purpose in mind.

If you're an atheist, then the answer is nothing. Atheism logically entails nihilism. From an atheistic point of view, any sense of purpose or meaning is nothing more than your brain chemistry deluding you for survival purposes. It's all a delusion. Very few atheists have the courage to accept this logical conclusion, but it is what it is.
