USH'S MATRIX GAME FIFTH ASSIGNMENT (COMBAT PATH)- 'Payback'

Started by Ushgarak60 pages

Afraid so, Burn.

Khali rolls -3, a miss. You desperately fall back, Mors, as she follows that with a Sting of the Butterfly.

OK then I will.
And I wanna move to the pillar that is directly infront of me. Keeping my eyes open and searching for Loomis.

Mors uses another active dodge, putting him a frame in debt.

Khali rolls appallingly, and misses, but she still has a frame left, and we shall finish the sequence on one final attack from her.

Active dodge.

Khali twirls and slashes again, this time rolling +2 for a total of 17- a hit. Another four damage to Mors as she cuts across your chest, wounding you, and the sequence is done.

New speed roll is a 6- make that focus last!

Khali adopts a wide grin as she espies the wound across you, Mors. With you thrown back, she presses home her advantage. She does a Bite of the Butterfly, for starters.

Cloud, Sinister having grabbed you, twists you around with a Two Lotus Twist, sendning you spinning to the ground. He then runs up the side of a factory machine, spins in mid-air and comes crashing down towards you with a Dread Eagle Swoop...

Everyone else is going first.

Burn, we'll be doing four exchanges with you and Loomis per sequence. Do you want to activate LoT first? It will give Loomis a small timing advantage speed wise.

WHIRLING MONK RECOVERY

(Sorry these are mostly in caps I just copy and paste them from my list of moves and they're in caps there.

(San, when you're done killing mooks, help me!)

(Nice pairing, Ush...)

Mors uses the Fox's Retreat.

(Mors, you're in trouble, buddy... 🙁 )

Ares drops low and performs the Grasshopper Sweep.

Yes I do, I'll take that disadvantage in order to be harder to hit.
is WOT OK to use?
That the one where if I get hit I can Pay focus and decrease the damage correct?

(sure thing...)

3 bursts at the remaining goon. Willow Step for defense.

(Just do Shell for that one, TM, it's only one guy...)

WOT is fine, Burn.

Sinister rolls evens. Even with +2 to hit, that is a miss as Cloud propels himself up with one foot and spins out of the way, before rising...

Khali rolls +1, for 16... you JUST escape her blow, Mors, by jumping backwards...

Rolling a +4, San, you blow away that final goon.

Tyr attempts to jump your blow with a Fox's Retreat, Ares. You roll +1, not enough to stop him clearing your foot.

Loomis gets a +2 bonus to the first roll to see who gets a shot on whom as they wander through the pillars... he rolls evens, and Burn rolls +1. The +2 means that Loomis gets it! He opens up with four bursts from each of his Ingrams. He rolls -1, for a total of 17... a hit! But with amazing instinct, Burn spins and avoids the shot just in time, using Wisdom of the Turtle!

Tyr attempts to elbow you in the face, Ares, with a graceless but no less dangerous Claw of the Tiger.

Khali takes another moment to twirl her knife menacingly, before lashing out with a Sting of the Butterfly.

Everyone else is up for acting- any special plans, Burn?

(Go Burn!)

Ares arches backwards under the blow, letting the elbow flying over him (Fox's Retreat).

😈 Time for one of my best attacks: A Water Weapon modified Whirlwind Blade Onslaught

Hmm,
I could try an elaborate trick but it would probably blow up in my face but what the hell.
OK I saw where Loomis went correct, what pillar he is behind.
So I wanna fre the smallest number of shots I can, If I have to a burst. At one side of the pillar making it look like I've menuvered in such a way that he's pinned down. SO if he runs the opposite way from where I've shot then I am right there and ready to open fire.
Get it? I know its not the clearest of instuctions.

I think I understand it...

Any way I can get to Mors quickly?

Sorry for the recent no shows- afraid I have been unwell

(moans in attempt for sympathy)

-

Only if you knew where he was, San. However, as you round the next corner, you can see the elevator entrance ahead- you are approaching it from the right side of the T junction it lies on (Mors approached it from the bottom). You have not seen anything yet.

Tyr rolls -2. Ares ducks just in time as the elbow flies over his head. Leaves Ares and Tyr on the same frame, so Ares goes next.

Cloud, Sinister attempts to dodge your spinning bladework with a rapid series of body jerks, using Fox's Retreat. You roll evens, for a total of 19... a hit, for sure, and four damage as you cut across his arm.

Burn- what if he doesn't move?

Well Khali is still attacking Mors. Ares is up against Tyr.

Sinister attempts to grab your arm, Cloud, for a Sacred Willow Push.

Go Cloud, go Cloud.
Kill him!

Well than I will try to move more to the side of the first shots that I did.
