USH'S MATRIX GAME FIFTH ASSIGNMENT (COMBAT PATH)- 'Payback'

Started by Bespin Bart60 pages

(For Christ's sake, finally! Thank the lord, San...)

Grasshopper Sweep, I want Khali on the ground pronto!

*crosses fingers for Mors*

"Getting tired yet, Tyr?" he asks, making a few fast attacks his chest and then ramming an open palm up at his nose.

(Sound familiar?)

Ush, I'm going on holiday this monday for a week and I probably won't be able to get on a computer so do you think that you could freeze combat between me and sinister for a week?

No problem, Cloud. You tend to go fairly fast with him so most likely you will be able to catch up easily when you get back.

Yup, you are done for the sequence, Burn.

Khali will take a standard dodge, Mors. You roll -1; a miss, but at least she wasted the dodge and now San can act ahead of her also.

Well, Tyr will simply dodge, Ares; you roll a -1, and he fends your final blow off before attempting a riposte with another Kick. Bear in mind you are Framed Out now, Ares.

(Ah nuts...)

Ares will active dodge, putting me a frame in debt, but I'd rather be a frame in debt than nearing the death check point...

Tyr rolls -3; his blow goes wild.

(Question? Would a fortune point be usable if Mors failed a death check?)

Okay. San would like to drop her now-empty gun and draw her knife, attacking Khali with Bite of the Buttefly.

(yes...I took the knife path...😄)

(Thank god!)

A fortune point can be used to automatically pass a death check, no matter how severe, and even after the roll.

I AM glad someone mentioned that though- if you have Fortune, don't forget it!

A frame to draw the knife, San, and then Khali takes a dodge. However, you roll +3 for a 17, which is actually a hit! You nick Khali's arm, for a couple of points of damage.

Oooh, THAT annoyed her... Khali turns on you, San, and kicks off with a Vengeance of the Butterfly.

If Mors and San want to say what their attacks will be when they get the chance, that will be nice as well. Remember Khali is making a zero frame attack and so will attack again after this one.

(Psst Mors.. Prone her!!!)

(Really, Burn, I should prone her? Okay, I don't know where you got that from... 🙄 )

Grasshopper Sweep.

(Well, proning her would hopefully allow us to get a free attack or two on her...)

Fox's Retreat for defense, and I'll attack Khali with Sting of the Butterfly.

(Yeck, I want Khali to die, so kill her for me...)

Okidokey, Khali rolls -3 on her attack, which misses San as San slides out of the way.

Khali will not bother dodging Mors as his attack is Predictable. He rolls a +3- nice try but repeat moves rarely pay. She will take a standard dodge against San, who rolls evens and misses, and she finsiehs the sequence with enough focus to make knife attacks on both San and Mors.

(Should have thought about that...)

Active Dodge.

Fox's Retreat.

Khali rolls evens on Mors, -1 on San. They both miss but that leaves you both a frame down next Sequence. Talking of which...

New speed roll is a 2.

So, here we go again!

Khali performs a Vengeance of the Butterfuly at San, and a Sting at Mors.

Sinister performs a Roaring Dragon Punch at Cloud.

Ares to go against Loomis, and are you kicking in your powers, Burn?

Ares to go against Tyr, I think you meant...though punching Loomis would be nice too...

Ares launches a Lightning Fist at Tyr.
