USH'S GAME EPISODE II- 'REVENGE'. Light Side Area

Started by Gundark76 pages

Gundark would have laughed at the incredulous irony of the situation had it not been so deadly serious. She decided to keep it simple. "Kuylen was Argentis' Jedi Master."

"Then if your friend is here he is probably dead already. What do you know about Kuylen?"

Gundark wanted to cooperate with the man in order to avoid the situation getting out of hand but she was getting tired of terse questions pointed in her face. "Why do you ask ?"

For a moment, the man looks as if he cannot be bothered to answer. But then he hands you the piece of paper he had showed.

The anomaly of his looks is quickly explained. This man, whose name is Balek, is NOT a regular policeman. He has been appointed an Officer of the Law in return for his efforts in bringing in wanted criminals for the reward offered...

Balek is a bounty hunter. Faylar is taking to hiring Bounty Hunters to keep the peace. Other than that, this man is as big an alien here as you guys are.

But the second sheet, under the paper, catches your eyes the most. It is the most astonishing Bounty offer.

It details how there is a bounty being offered of half a million credits for the termination of the wanted criminals Quam Ak-toh, Edna, Chion and Galder Welptet. The bounty will be doubled for a successful capture.

There is a special reward of an incredible one million credits for the termination of their leader, Kuylen

Faylar has put a bounty so large on the Dark jedi that they might never be able to go NEAR a civilised system.

But why invent such trouble... unless... unles THAT is why the Dark Jedi have returned to Avalar...

Revenge is sweet. The Dark Jedi have risked all this simply to kill their treacherous partner Faylar. Little wonder he has locked himself up in his palace at the expense of his war effort, and offered such huge amounts for their capture.

Balek takes his credentials back.

🙄
Sieri thinks to herself Great now we're dealing with bounty hunters too...

" Ho do you take orders from..Balek?" whispers "how happy day...bounty hunters"

"I don't take orders," says Balek. "But I am employed by Faylar."

''This is an unexpected turn of events,'' Mah says to the others, '' what do we do now?''

Lance turns to Balek.

"If you ever meet up with these bounties of yours I want you to know they have a captive Jedi among them. He answers to the name Yerssot. Whatever you do, do not hurt him."

Balek shrugs.

"None of you or your friends mean anything to me. If he's smart he'll keep his head down."

Gundy, when he takes his credentials back you notice something. His right arm does not show up as part of his body in the Force. It's artificial.

Guess he's not that good.... Gundark thought to herself upon realizing the bounty hunter was missing a limb. "I'm sure there are others in your line of work about the city," she remarked.

Sieri shifts feet...she's really wants to find out how the bounty hunter lost his arm and whether or not he knows anything useful.....

"It's a large bounty," says Balek. He turns and returns to his drink.

"You people should get out the city. There's nothing for you here."

Lance speaks up, "On the contrary. We have reason to believe the man we are looking for is here."

"You'll only find a corpse," says Balek. He slugs his drink back.

"How would you know? I thought you said you've never seen Argentis before."

"Because anyone who pokes their nose in too much around here will become a corpse," says Balek. He puts down his glass.

"Good night," he says, curtly, heading to his room.

Lance watches the bounty hunter go to his room before turning back to his fellow Jedi.

"The man is right, it is time for rest."

Unless anyone has any ideas, I'll move on things to the morning. Though as the other thread is a tad busy during the night I may need to prevaricate for a little bit.

(OOC: So we are moving on to the morning still?)
