Night falls, then...

During the night, you receive a covert communication from Govski, who provided you people with some communications gear which transmitts text only, but is nearly impossible to trace. The message reads

"VERLAINE REPORTS BLOCKADE BREACHED BY SINGLE MAN. MAN NOW ASSUMED LOOSE IN CITY. SHIP MAN STOWED AWAY ON WAS BROKEN INTO AT POINT OF DEPARTURE. EVIDENCE OF LIGHTSABRE USE IN AREA. NO JEDI REPORTED AS BEING IN AREA. CONCLUDE MAN IS ONE OF KUYLEN'S. END."

BTW, you can send limited messages out as well, if you want any info on anything or anyone that you think might be worth asking about.

Lance drifts slowly to sleep, but during the night he has a dream. He sees a man like the one mentioned in the message, but he can't see his face, he is enclosed in shadows.

*Happy day*

It's difficult to sleep during the night as every fifteen minutes the laser barrage into the shields fires. As the shields absorb the shot a lot of the civilian power supply drains, causing lights to flicker and systems to fail.

Eventually, a miserable dawn arises. It's grey and rainy out, and the sunlight is further diffused by the shield around the city. This is NOT a happy place.

Balek appears to have left during the night.

Lance gathers all of his equipment that he checked during the night and packs it all back into his back and onto his belt.

He walks over to the women's room and buzzes the door.

Gundark greeted Lance and motioned him inside. She keyed the door shut and showed him Verlaine's com message. "The man could be Argentis," she said. "We've got to move quickly."

"Are you sure about it being Argentis? What if it is someone else? I felt a ripple through the force last night."

"I'm not sure....its just a guess. We've got to be careful about asking questions with these bounty hunters around."

Mah knocks on the door and enters the room.
''Could this really be Argentis? What are we to do today?''

Phinney has been up most of the night meditating*

*Phinney goes and knocks on door*

There actually seems to be some hot news going around. Apparently there was a big fight in one of the slum districts in the middle of the night. There have definitely been casualties. People whisper of assault teams led by Verlaine's people, while others speak of Republican interventionists.

Some people say it was apparently more of a massacre than a battle...

Gundark gathered her group together and they moved outside into the dreary early morning. "We're going to see the area where this rumoured fight took place last night...there must be witnesses."

"Let us hope that the bodies are still there. They should be, it is a crime scene."

Sieri: "Let's hope so, but I doubt the culpret'll have much respect for the dead"

"Not just the culpret, but maybe scavangers looking for free items took the bodies back to their lair to search them closely without fear of getting caught."

The reports were not wrong, this WAS a massacre. There are some thrity dead bodies around. All of you can recognise lightsabere wounds when you see them, and that is how most of them died.

Not all of them, though, Several were shot and a few have had a building fall on top of them.

Each of them is carrying a Bounty Hunter notice similar to the one Balek had, though these people have not been made inpromptu policemen like he had been.

It's difficult to get any closer with all these security guards around, though. Unless you want to try anything.

"Why would we need to do that? We can tell something dark came through here. The longer we stick around the easier it will be for our cover to be blown."
