I have a bad feeling about this... Gundark thought to herself. She kept her arms at her sides, palms out. "It would be best if you moved along, stranger," she told him pointedly. "Our business here is not with you." The man either did not recognize her as a Jedi or chose not to. They didn't need a situation like this now.
Gundark moved her hand to pull back her robe slightly and expose her own lightsabre. She rested her hand on her hip and stared back at him. "I am Jedi Master Kellan Gundark." She moved her index finger on her left hand ever so slightly, intent on her Mind Trick, wanting to avoid an attention-gathering scene. "I would ask you once again to concern yourself with your own business."
Everyone in the bar turns towards you, Lance, as you activate your weapon.
The man does not flinch. And he pulls out of his jacket a peice of paper.
"And as I am an official law enforcement agent around here," he says, "I guess I decide whether this is my business or not."
He sure as hell doesn't LOOK like any policeman you have seen before, but that's not a blank piece of paper...
"Put down your weapon," he says.
"You said yourself-this is no longer Republic territory. We are representatives of the Republic and under specific orders of the Jedi Council," Gundark explained, trying to quell her growing frustration. "We answer to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and the Jedi Council only. I should also point out to you that you failed to properly identify yourself when you approached us."
"A representative of the Republic entering Confederate territory without authorisation could be considered an act of war," says the man. "Entering the city without permission would be an act of espionage. Enough to have you all hung.
"And I think you will find I get to decide about proper procedure around here. Your friend drew his weapon while I was attemtping to show my identification. You can continue to argue this if you want, but in front of a court, not with me. I don't have time to argue.
"What is the name of your lost friend?"
Hoping to pull the man's attention off the subject of arrest, let alone hangings, Gundark revealed her compact holo-projector with its lone image of Argentis and held it up for the man's inspection. "His name is Argentis. It is imperative we return him to Coruscant as soon as possible," she explained. "You must understand we are not here to spy on the Confederacy nor take any action in these military proceedings."
