USH'S GAME EPISODE II- 'REVENGE'. Dark Side Area

Gald uncovered his ears. "Why, what species are you Quam?" Gald looks through a grate as a bunch of soldiers march over. The chatter among the troops is a bunch of jumbled words, but Gald manages to decipher a few words.

EDITED

Gald conceals the pulse and ion packs in his cloak. The heavy laser packs spark and fizzle, the energy still crackling and flowing through the wires. "Should we remove 'em? You know, if they track the surge to the source? And the noise?" asks Gald. The laser packs begin to whine again.

Jumping the gun a bit there, Rex. I'll decide when- and more importantly, WHO- turn up! Besdies, there is no chance of a threat of invasion because they lose some of their sewer sensors. It's an enclosed system. They probably think you are spies.

(Also, the people around here, if they don't have sci-fi names, have Russian names)

And I don't think there is any way for you to see or sense the arrivial of Ricolt's ship from down here.

Quam- something you have noiuced with all your sabotage- this security system does NOT belong to Faylar. It was built by the pro-Republicans, and Faylar has simply adopted it.

Which does make you wonder; that's most unlike the paranoid Faylar you know. He would only use someone else's scurity system if he really HAD to.

Faylar must be pitifully short on resources. He's concentrated all his strength on his central palace, and on the walls of the city, but other than that this city isn't REALLY under his control at all.

There might not BE anyone coming. But then... you DO feel a little uneasy...

-

Ricolt-

You squeeze yourself into a crate of concussion charges. It gets picked up with all the grace and delicacy of a wookie, and you feel at one point like you are going to be bashed to death.

"Where's this one going?" asks one of the handlers.

"East side supply depot," says another.

After some ten mniutes, you are left quiet and alone.

(So, Damagrans are just Russians in jumpsuits and tunics?)

Gald takes the heavy laser packs off the walls and crushes it under foot. It had started whining considerably, and would have attracted attention from anyone above.

(Well, they haven't used Russian style in SW yet, so I nabbed it for Damagran)

OK, you guys can pretty much get to wherever you want to go (central palace excluded) without being spotted on the streets now, but at SOME point someone is going to do something about these koncked out sensors.

Question is, where are you headed?

Gald had been holding out now for a couple hours. It was getting towards dawn and they hadn't slept all night. "Quam, can we find some room down here to sleep? Or even up there?" Gald said with a yawn. "Cause I'm going to pass out on my feet from being tired and you'll have to carry me."

Ricolt feels that he is alone so he pushes up against the lid of the crate and climbs out.

As predicted, Ricolt, you are in a supply depot. Tricky to tell, though-there is no light in here.

"You need sleep? Already? Weak humans...." Quam started running down the tunnel. "We get back up on the other side of the square, there we enter the intricate system of narrow streets. We find a place to sleep there...."

"I take it your not human then?" Gald asks. "Okay, so when we reach an alley, we sleep? Sounds like a hobo's life. Well, couldn't we sleep in a hotel or somethin? I could use the feathered beds after over 20 years of sleeping on the ground."

"Weird! I find it hard to believe that this palace has no entrances at all. Well Faylar always did like to hide himself away where he would be out of danger. I always thought he was a coward. There must be a hidden entrance around here somewhere or maybe there are entrances on higher levels that we simpy can't see from here."

Edna stares at the towering walls in front of her. Surely there must be some tell tale sign. Something out of place, something not right.

(You know we're in the sewer, right Edna?)

Blimey! Thanks Edna, I thought you were too busy to post.

Well, that can have been an observation she made earlier.

On the assumption that you can get to these streets safely, what sort of accomdation are you looking for?

BTW, I think I should repeat to everyone what I have told the Light Side guys and Rex. Aside from the fact that Faylar is, obviously, looking for you- his method will soon become apparent-K'rra Chi is pretty safe. All the guards on the streets will ever do is ask you to move along. So you can pretty much move around safely.

Not that I do not appreciate that keeping a low profile is sensible.

(gonna keep quiet for a few posts)

Oops sorry! That seemed to make sense when I posted it. Must have somehow missed a page of posts or something. Well you can't say I didn't try!

I bet I can...

When the tunnels begin to split in three different directions, Quam looks up for the nearest grate that will allow access to ground level again. A few yards up ahead the flash of an explosion lights up the floor of one of the tunnels. Quam walked over to the grate and opened it. Carefully he climbed up and looked outside: they were in one the alleys, nice, dark and out of the way of the main war activities.
"THis is it. Come on." he said as he climbed out and hid in the shadows.

"What was that flash?" whispers Gald as he climbs through the grate. The alley is dark and it is night. Gald conceals his weapons and lightsabers in his cloak the best he can.

"More explosions, but they're not aimed at us. So don't worry." Quam sneered down into the tunnel.... "Now, hurry!"

Ricolt jumps out of the crate and feels around the dark room, hoping to find some clue of how to get out of here, but he really doesnt know what he's looking for. He sees a small crack of light under a door way.

hmmmmmmm............ that must be where we just came from. Well iguess i could just leave this room and then go looking for where Im supposed to meet these people. I have no clue where they are.

Ricolt feels his way to the door and puts his ear up yo the door to make sure theres no one out side of it.
He opens the door and walks out.

Ricolt, you are now in the streets. Your options are the same as the other players- and like the other players, finding somewhere safe to stay could be important.

I'll allow a certain amount of co-incidentaly leeway in Ricolt and the others happening to run into each other...

Meanwhile, the closest the war gets to the city is the cotinual-
and still, to your minds, rather pointless- bombardment into the shield surrounding K'rra Chi. Every time the shield is hit, it flares, lighting up the city for a moment.

Anyone have a plan I should be aware of?
