After several years of hard work at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter's conjuring skills are in pretty good shape. It would appear the young magician still isn't immune to Cupid's powers, though, as he's about to fall under the spell of a pretty schoolgirl from Scotland.

Seventeen-year-old Katie Leung, who originally hails from Motherwell, near Glasgow, plays the irresistible new student Cho Chang in Harry's latest adventure. And the sixth-former looks set to make quite an impression with her big screen debut, as she will be the first actress to share a kiss with the boy wizard.

"My dad was watching television one day and he saw an ad for my character," she revealed. "It was weird because it fitted me perfectly. It said you have to be 16, you have to have long dark hair and you have to be Asian."

Katie beat off competition from 4,000 other contenders to land her role in Harry Potter And The Goble Of Fire, but the young performer still felt a little nervy when she first met her co-stars Emily Watson (They probably mean Emma, not Emily..), Rupert Grint and, of course, Daniel Radcliffe. "That was really intimidating - it was like 'Oh my God, I'm around all these great actors'," she explained. "But it was really cool afterwards and we spoke and got to know each other."

Appearing in the flick also means she'll be sharing the screen with some of the industry's most revered talents. Acclaimed thesp Ralph Fiennes will be strutting his stuff as Harry's nemesis Lord Voldemort, while Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, Miranda Richardson and Maggie Smith are all reprising their roles from previous films.

Katie, 18 next week, said: "When we weren't filming we usually had to study.

"But when we did have time, we definitely hung out together. We would try to hang out at the weekends.

"Daniel's so well-mannered and he really cares about you.

"He's always asking, 'Are you all right? Can I get you water?' - stuff like that."

She was also pally with fellow star Rupert Grint, who plays Harry's best mate Ron Weasley in the film - out in Britain in November.

But Katie - who lives with her dad Peter, two brothers and a sister in Motherwell - admitted she still finds the opposite sex a mystery.

The young actress confessed: "If I had one magical power I think it would be to read boys' minds."

O.k. here's the secret to getting your guy (even Dan for that matter 😉. Become friends with him, it's just that simple. Make yourself seem like the most unique and intellingent (and you are) girl he's ever been around, do this for as long as you can (put on a fake, but nice personality). It could take as long as a year mabye more depending on how fast a guy adjusts to women. It can and WILL pay off though. Anywho, hide that fact that you like him from both his girlfriend and himself. Secretly do plenty of fun and legal activities with him, go sight-seeing or whatever. Be good friends and ("Make Him happy), main idea, "GIVE HIM HAPPINESS AND JOY AND OTHER THINGS HIS GIRLFRIEND CAN'T GIVE). Don't pull any stunts yet. Here's where it gets good, when he starts to REALLY and Truly adore you to a point where he stops paying attention to his girlfriend and begins to realize that you are very attractive and truly gets all lovey dovey with you, go in for the kill, ask him gently, What about your girlfriend? He'll say or if he says "We were never really close, We didn't really have anything in common, I really want to be around someone like you, You make me feel different, "in a good way". Tell him you want to have a relatioship but you don't want to do any damage to anyone "his girlfriend" (Yeah right) in the process, if he says he wanted to break up with her in the first place and he wants you, ACCEPT IT. Wait...everyone is saying how they shoudl have gotten the role, and how pretty they are, so are there anypics of you people? of the girls who tried out, whoa re prettier than her? If there are, you should show them, because there is no proof that this girl is not pretty enough.

And this whole athletic lookign thing, I nevr pictured Cho as being the Hulk or anything. I mean shes just a girl who plays a sport. Girls at my school who play sports are not extremely muscular. Plus, she wears so many clothes, you can't really tell. Plus, she looks slim, so she looks liek she might be athletic.
Anyways, post some pictures or a webpage with them. I'm not some pervy guy or a lesbian, I'm just an American girl who is just curious.

We'll I'm glad Katie got the part! I have nothing against these girls that I conversate with, I just wish that Katie could get a break from all these unecessary taunts, I mean, these girls are beautiful but if they feel so, why are they taking their anger out on Katie, is it insecurity, because I'm sure these girls are beautiful, but it's almost as though they don't know who they are and they rely on a fictional book to find out, sweeties there is nothing worse than fiction when it comes to finding yourself. Take time out to look at yourself and see that every ethnicity, every single solitarty exotic thing about you is beautiful!!!! I'm not a lesbian but I think women (ALL WOMEN) are beautiful, even you guys!!! The point is, the people who don't like her are just letting it out like the people that do. Why should people who like her be able to express their love when people who don't have to keep it inside? It's just a matter of opinion. I believe most of these girls who don't like her, genuinely don't like her. With fame comes great responsibility, no? It happens for any celeb, maybe the kids on HP get it more because they're such famous films so everyone knows about it. The point is people should be able to express what they feel towards someone...Otherwise it wouldn't be fair.

I have nothing against peopel who think that CHo is ugly. Personally, I think that she's average. But she does fit the role of being a pretty for a bbritish chinese witch who attends hogwarts. I don't know, I'm jstu curious to see toher people who auditioned, since I wanted to go myself, but I'm an American. So post your pictures, essapcially Anoushka and Georgina_A, who claim that they are prettier than this girl! Thanks!
