Yah...about those prettier girls. Maybe they couldn't act as well as her? I'm not judging, I'm just guessing, that sounds like the most reasonable explanation.
I don't think that she's that pretty, but I feel bad for her, because it sucks to have everyone telling you that you're just average. I'm not saying that you shouldn't, by all means you can express your opinion. I'm just saying that I feel sorry for her, because some people calling her a loser and the ugliest girl in the world..and she clearly isn't. They don't know her, there are only a few articles about her, so how can they call her a loser? And ugliest girl in the world is a little harsh, you'd have to be super ugly to be that.
Yah, from the articles and pictures of the people who audtioned (I'm not talking about yours) she seemed to be the prettiest, but a lot of people were saying how there were prettier girls, so I was curious.
Okay, apprently she hasn't even been in a school play before or done any acting before. Think of all those girls who worked their arses off because they were waiting for an oppotunity like this...I'm not saying there's no such thing as raw talent or whatever...But there were 4000 girls at that audition 😬
I don't know about the whole raw talent thing. Just for an example, Johnny Depp was a high school dropout and didn't do any acting, but he had a role on some TV show, I forget which, and look how famous he is now. And Giselle Bundchen, the Victoria's Secret model was discovered eating a hamburger, and she is such a famous model now. A lot of other models who recieve tons of training since they were little girls aren't nearly as famous as her.
I'm saying that its raw talent, possibly. But then again, the people who picked her might have just thought that she was really pretty.
I don't know about England, but here in America, Americans ahve a different standard of beauty for Asians than Asians do. For example, Lucy Liu probably wouldn't make it in Hong Kong, based on her looks anyways. It doesn't really matter I guess; in the latest book, Harry likes Ginny, and Cho is basically like an extra. Bleh, they should just give more roles to Asian girls. I'm being honest here-all of the movies have the Caucasian as the main character, and the minority as the sidekick. Maybe if Asians were given more opportunities in the British/American entertainment, people wouldn't get so worked up, because a lot of people are complaining about how it was a great opportunity.
Yeah, I totally see what you mean. This role was such a big deal for so many girls because there are hardly any for Asian people. It does, in fact, suck 😬 And yeah, I agree about the Lucy Liu thing. And about Katie, I personally don't think she's pretty and think she's pretty plain looking. I know people who agree with me, and I know people who disagree, I guess it's just a matter of opinion like everyone else. I just don't like her.
And I just saw you edited one of your previous posts...I feel sorry for her too, I'm not going to be that extreme about it, I'm just going to allow myself to express my thoughts about her. I do agree that those girls are going a bit too far...I also saw pics of a couple of girls who got in the final and I think they're prettier than Kaite....

Um well, see in my school there aren't really any Asians. There are only a couple of Vietnamese people, and absolutely no Chinese girls, and you looked kind of dark from that picture, so I assumed that you might be. I don't know, the Vietnamese people at my school generally tend to be quite dark. When I went to Hong Kong, everyone said stuff like Wow you're dark (My skin tone is like yours), and a lot of them were pale, so that's why.
