Max Payne

I never played the games... always wanted to, but eh... never got around to it... games cost money, to rent or to buy...

neither here nor there... I'll probably like it cuz I never played the games, so I don't exactly know what the plot entails... I'm looking forward to it.. *shrugs*.. like I said, I'll watch it to give my honest opinion...

I am a huge fan of the games....and i gotta say i was not even happy going to see this movie...such negative critcs and also internet buzz...was bad.......i found i liked the movie allot.....very good i.m.o

I dont need a game played in my movie theatre...but i understand the need to keep some ties....i think this movie did that and more.....i would love to see a sequel

I really couldn't find one good thing about the movie. This could be because i went into it expecting a serious, drama/suspense movie but Max Payne never fully decided what type of movie it wanted to be. I seriously had high hopes when i heard that Marky Mark was playing Max Payne. I don't know if you want to call him an A-lister but i thought for certain that he could bring some type of depth to the psychologically bruised badass. What i got, though was a monotone character that had no development what so ever. Everybody involved with the movie seemed so damned bored. The noir elements were executed very poorly and came off as artificial.

Hey, i may love me some action but i don't need explosions and exploding heads to enjoy a movie but a movie based on the video games, Max Payne, well...,i expect some action. This movie was incredibly slow. The plot was just stupid when it wasnt tripping over itself. There was little to NO action in this entire movie. Ok, now that would have been forgivable had the plot actually been engaging like the video game. Why they didn't just adapt the story from the first game i will never understand. If there were ever a video game that was made to be adapted into film it was Max Payne. I hate to shit on this movie so much because it is nothing more than a video game adaptation but with an excellent noir story already constructed in the video games and an Actor like Marky Mark. A quality product should have been produced.

This movie was balls.

Games are great, movie sucked donkey.

Of course it sucked even one of the people who made the game gave his comment on the movie.

the dvd comes out tomorrow. i liked the movie so im getting it.

I got paid today and had some extra cash, figured I'd get a DVD. I wasn't able to see Max Payne when it was out but noticed the DVD comes out tmw. I"m a big fan of a lot of Mark Wahlbergs work and also a huge fan of the game. Can anyone tell me anything about the movie and or wether to buy the DVD?

horrible movie.

terrible movie, and I admit I only saw the middle half. If you think that would make my judgement unfair, you haven't seen this film. Regardless of having seen the whole thing or dijointed parts, even in context what I saw CAN NOT be good. It was really disappointing and simply awful.

bad movie. great cinematography and it was a masterpiece visually with great film noir style...........but saying anything otherwise even remotely positive is like shooting yourself in the balls.
