You should be ashamed to show your face after some of the posts you made ealier in this thread. It's been proved you have no idea what you are talking about.

How is Dragonball an ounce better than DBZ? Just because you say so?

No..

And I doubt you have even read it..

How about the fact dragon Ball actually has a plot that makes sense, And character development.

I hated the fact that the humans in DBZ were reduced to major time jobbers just to make the saiyans look good. Also, the fighting was better as opposed to DBZ which just had projectile spam and in perceivable fighting.

Lol! Dragonball is more off the wall than DBZ.

I'm guessing you haven't seen/read it.

The character dev. is meh, because It mainly focuses on everyday lives.. And some plot in between.

Well, when you have a super-strong alien race that comes from space, it's gonna be hard to keep up.

Of the wall=goofy/oddballish. Wayyy way more of that in Dragonball.

More of comical manga than action.

How does that change the fact that it's better than DBZ?

Yeah, an alien race with so many plot devices to keep them ahead.
Basically you have

-Humans being jobbed all the time
-Projectile Spamming
-In perciveable fights that are drawn out to infinity
-A crappy plot

And throw in some random power boost every now and then, and you have DBZ.

Eh, I have to agree with that.

A crappy plot?

Explain please, because there were many plots.

And they all sucked post frieza saga, here's a summary.

A random powerful antagonist appears out of NOWHERE and the Z senshi proceed to fight and lose. They go into hiding (Perferably, kami's tower) to muster up whatever plot device they can find. Then proceed to fight said antagonist, just when things are looking good the antagonist pulls out his plot device for whatever reason and defeats the Z senshi. the Z senshi than proceed bakc into hiding, rense and reapeat. They go back and fourth doing this until someone performs an attack that they should have done in the first place. throw in some random moments where the humans get jobbed, the end.

😆 Good synopsis.

Funny but true, but thats exactly what makes DBZ so good. It wouldnt be as exciting if all those things didnt happen.

😕 How does that make it good?

I admitt, I love the movies. But, the series blows, I can only watch so much of that crap.

Well its good, and thats how it is 😄

But its makes the Sagas even more exciting when you include those things in there.

Not really.

NAruto is so exiting and they don't do that stuff. Actually, they usually go right to the strong stuff (I.E. Sharingan and Chidori) And that fails, then they think up something brilliant and win through intelligence, not one super powerful attack that, as Ashtar said, they should have just done in the first place, all la Spirit Bomb.

Its not very exiting when watching Goku fight Buu because you know that since has hasn't used Spirit Bomb yet and the fights been drawn out for awhile, hes going to end up using it and winning, or at least turning the tide.

Naruto's been doing the samething lately with the nine tails crap, one of the reasons I stopped reading naruto.

IMO Dragonball Z wouldnt be so popular if it didnt have all the things ashtar mentioned. I wouldnt go as as to say those things made it popular but it defintely contributed to the shows success.

DBZ is popular, because it was one of the "Gateway" anime's during toonami's run. that doesn't mean it was good, I used to watch it. But, I'll remeber:Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, and others over DBZ.

Not really since the Spirit Bomb was kinda spur of the moment. If you think about it, he couldnt have used it to fight super buu since everybody on earth was either destroyed or eaten, and when he used it against kidd buu you didnt have to wait long, once the dragonballs were used to wish everyone back you immediately found out he was about to do the spirit bomb.

Thats an opinion and not a fact.

So, he couldn't channel the energy needed to make spirit bomb from some other place? sounds like BS to me, goku made a spirit bomb just as big during his fight with frieza.

So, your telling me DBZ was popular in the states before it appeared on cable?

If you recall, he need EVERYONES energy(Including other planets), so if Earth and everyone on it wasnt wished back and MR. Satan didnt convince everyone on Earth to give Goku the required energy, they would have never been able to beat kidd buu.

Lets not forget about the manga

He channeled ki from other planets during the namek saga, yet, acording to you he couldn't have the same in this instance ?

Most people didn't even know what manga was during those times, the anime was waaaaaaaaay more popular than the manga.
