i don remember where i got dat...
it's from a wallpaper... well, if it's bad for you ... den what now?! 😛

juz go on with the Magic Box

😎

well.... that was hard

once you realize 15 is the central number and the even numbers go in the corners..... its simple 😄

i know 😛

✅ clap yay!

smart dave 😉

yep, 9 is always a mathematical magic for me... 😎

the magic box explains something like this:

in every 9 numbers (eg: 1-9) take the median as the common number and place it at the center box.
then consider the ff combinations:

1 + 5 + 9 = 15 (the common sum)
2 + 5 + 8
3 + 5 + 7
4 + 5 + 6
or
6 + 5 + 4
7 + 5 + 3
8 + 5 + 2
9 + 5 + 1

we have the arithmetic rule that sayz:
an odd number is a sum of an odd number and an even number.

since 15 (the common sum) is an odd number, it must be the sum of an odd number and an even number (resulting to another odd number), and must be added by another even number. thus, we have two even numbers and an odd number combination.

the formula now is
even + odd + even = common sum ; or we can have

2 + odd + 4 = 15 ; thus
15 - 2 + 4 = 9
15 - 2 + 6 = 7

now we can fill it in the box

2 .. 9 .. 4
7 .. 5 .. ?
6 .. ? .. ?

then we will derive with an answer:

eh?

✅ my method was similar to that, but with less actual calculations 😄

✅ yes, but yours is more likely to "trial and error method".

what i presented is TRUE to any 9 consecutive numbers.

you can use any 9 consecutive numbers like 2-10, 12-20, 51-59, 34-42, etc.

😎

Very facinating. What level math are you at Jury?

should i say engineering math? 🙂

besides, i really like mathematics ever since 😄

😎

Just a quick answer 😉 No use of calculator please 😄 it's easy.

If you got 1000 + 40, how much will it be?

Add 1000 again...

Then add 30...

Add another 1000...

Then add 20...

Add another 1000...

Then add 10...

How much did you get?

Just a quick answer. 😎

Did you get 5000? 😄

5000? i dont know...i just added it in my head

😉

i thought there was some big trick to it...not just adding up some numbers 🙂

😎 I'll accept 5000 but that doesn't mean it's the correct answer...
...because it's the common figure anybody could answer. 😄

your absoluetly right...my math teacher once showed me how to prove that 1+1=1...so i suppose anything is possible! 🙂

Got any more magic boxes? I wanted to try one myself, but then dave ruined all my fun 🙁
