The Magic Box

See, how mathematics can sometimes be deceiving?

If you add those numbers in your head, you'll probably get 5000... when the real answer is supposed to be 4100...

That problem was tested and proven to be the most effective mathematical illusion.

your absoluetly right...my math teacher once showed me how to prove that 1+1=1...so i suppose anything is possible! 🙂

Got any more magic boxes? I wanted to try one myself, but then dave ruined all my fun 🙁

no2 but there's only one Magic Box I know...
where you can use any 9 consecutive numbers and you'll get the same problem over and over again... but the solution is always the same.

Lianslo has proven it.. it's 4100 😄

i caught my error tho...i added the 10+20+30+40 and for some reason decided that it was 1000 instead of 100....you tricked me 😒 😛

ya the 100 place tricked me 😠 .... its so simple yet an illusion.

are you a math major or something mr. copeland?

I know that proof, or a similar proof (1=0,1=2, ect) . It's false. It uses an ilegal move, like dividing by zero.

would it be to move the bottem left corner of the six to the upper right corner?
