no the Omega Effect won't work on Supes cause hes important to the Source. Thanos don't have such luck.

if this fight ever DID happen, i guarantee it wouldn't be a curbstomp for either. they are still (despite seid's crappy showings lately) considered to be reflections of each other and hence if they fought, it is reasonable to assume the fight would be very very close.

He's still imporant. He was the reason for IG, IW, IC, and The End. LT's ruling on the gem would not have been possible if Thanos had not found the gems in the first place. Thanos is as essential as Supes is.

Thx for the insights, Juntai. Could you do me a favor listing those Darkseid godlike feats/pictures? I searched the forum for the Darkseid respect thread but I got no luck. I used to be a Marvel reader, but I found DC old stuff is classic. Anyone(especially the Darkseid fans) is free to post any resources if possible. Thank you. 😄

Thank you to both of you, Juntai and newjak. I have actually read that awesome Darkseid thread, which is created by Jimmy San. That site is the motivation that interests me to read DC stuff. However, I am still a DC noob. Do you guys know what powers does X-Element offer to Darkseid? Does X-Element allow Darkseid to teleport anywhere he wants? In addition, what is The Source and what kinda powers Darkseid get from The Source? Is it something like The Force in Star Wars? the omega effects don't stem from the source. the astroforce does. the omega effect and it's power stems from the infinity pit. if there has ever been any indication of a DIRECT relationship between the infinity pit and the source, i've never seen it. i tend to see it has a manifestation of apokalips, perhaps even the power of the old gods. but not as a manifestation of the source. to the best of my knowledge, the omega effect has never been fully explained. if someone DOES know its true origins, i'd love to hear it, and know where it was stated.

Interesting thing about Thanos though; he's discovered no matter how big he wins in the short term, he's destined to lose - because he wants to. He has a screwed-up psychology.

Darkseid loses to superman cause he's ****ing superman. Superman does not lose. If superman was as important to marvel as he is to DC, he'd be beating down living tribunal. But darkseid only loses to supes when he loses all rational thought, forgets about his omega beams, legions of troops, magical spells, and tech and instead decides to slug it out with superman. if Darkseid isnt holding back or jobbing he wins with out much trouble it would be like trying to fight galactus for thanos he does hold up a good fight but even thanos cant beat everyone like i said only if this is none jobber no holding back darkseid not the pittiful excuse they have made him into these days.
