"I don't care," he said simply. "And lighten up. You're acting like you've never talked to someone."

Lydia bit her lip and turned away from James. She roughly wiped away her tears. "Maybe because, you jack@ss, I haven't. I guess you wouldn't notice." she said her voice shaking.

The words didn't even cause Jame's smile to flicker. "I guess not. Well, you have now, right?" He asked.

"I guess." she said still hurt by James's words.

James gave her a sort of sympethetic smile, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Um, sorry?"

Lydia nodded. "I forgive you. I didn't mean to call youa jack@ss."

~Where are they? Your characters, I mean.~

"I get it sometimes," He said, grinning. "Actually, a lot. Most people say it behind my back. They're afraid I might turn em into a block of wood..." This was an attempt to cheer her up a bit.

(In a hall.)

He turned a corner, and saw several children.
"Greetings." he said, startling them.
~He is by you all.
He has a wizards cloak on, a wizards hat, and a face mask, like a knight's helm, over his face.~

Lydia turned to James and gave him a small smile before turning to the older wizard. "Who are you?"

"Who am I? I should ask the questions, young one.
What are you all wandering the halls of Hogwarts Castle, late at night?" asked he.

James looked over at the man. "Erm, hi." He said, raising an eyebrow.

"What we're doing is none of your business." He said in reply.

"I believe it is an ex-Headmasters business....James Potter. I am Felix Ohfman, in reply to your earlier question."

Lydia's eyes widened. . .an ex-heamaster. She was nervous now. "Um, I was just going to get something to eat, sir."

"Indeed? The feast is ended, by now. Get to bed, I have business with Headmaster Dippet." said he.

Lydia sighed. She was really hungry. "Mr, um, Ohfman, please, just a small snack."

"Ah, youth. What a thing, to be young, and full of purpose. No, but here, some special chocolate. You will be full, within a few bites. A special concotion of mine, it is."

Lydia sighed and took the chocolate. "thanks." she told the ex-headmaster who seemed more interested in potter than her.

But James, unlike Lydia, was not impressed. "Hey, if she is hungry, let her go eat." He said, glaring at the 'ex-headmaster'. "Besides, I won't go to bed til I feel like it. And you know what? I don't feel like it right now."
