Comic of the month!

I like Alpha Flight. I don't care if anyone else does. The save Alpha Flight was a precaution because Marvel never gives a title the benefit of the doubt. As for hints Quesada has dropped, it should be good for more than 12 issues.

I love the Invaders too. Great story unfolding after only 1 issue. The art is weird, but at least the guy has a trademark style, and isn't some Lee imitation. I read USM, UFF (although I've been disappointed in it lately, usually Ellis' stuff is MUCH better, although Ultimate Nightmare looks promising) and Green Lantern. Can't stomach Uncanny X-Men or most of Claremont's stuff nowadays. "Over the hill" is the kindest way to describe him at this point.

I don't care if you disagree with me, just do it respectfully.

you only speak lies!!!!

dumbas...

.... 😛

Me...? Well, yeah. I do care if you disagree with me, because I'm infallible

COLLOSUS IS COMING BACK! Astonishing X-Men #4! Woot! About time.

i love the char, but what ever happened to marvel's new "once dead always dead"? this is rediculous....

Well, maybe I was a little overboard. And though we can agree to disagree on some aspects, you can't fault someone for reading comics.

😒

i agree. thats about the dumbest thing ive heard in a long while.

it's not dumb ❌ just unfair.....

well, i think its dumb AND unfair. let Colossus rest in peace.

UXM is ok because it started out with Colossus alive, but bring him back from the dead? serisouly...

If they had to bring anyone back, I was happy it was Colossus. They killed him because none of the writers knew what to do with the character, they were too busy writing about Wolverine most likely. They needed to resolve the dangling "Legacy Virus" plot thread, which no one gave a poo about anymore, and it was just being cumbersome and annoying, so they got rid of both of them as easily as they could. A miraculous cure that kills a character that whichever writer at the time had no use for. I'm not one for resurrection after resurrection etc. etc., but with such a horrible useless death in the first place, I kind of don't mind.

Amen to that. Welcome to the board.

I say, Identiti Crisis. The first issue made me cry.

I don't think Colossus actually died. He asks kitty am I dead yet. So it appears he went through a horrible ordeal.
Is anyone reading District X. There's this cool guy with the power near omnipotent in it. The new issue just came out, im going to read it right now. I hope they keep him alive. He's interesting acting anyhow. 🪩

Im giving Invaders a try, but the first issue was bad. Namor and the old torch apparently powerless are in it. 🤓

Namor has powers, just not much has happened to showcase them yet. I agree not much happened in the first arc, but it introduced the characters and set up their position and relationships. The last page set up the basis for the story and the second issue looks pretty good so far. Allan Jacobsen, the writer has stated how disatisfied he's been with Marvel, putting Hamond through the ringer. So I'm banking on his powers, or a variation on them being returned. Here's a 5 page preview for issue 2, showing some neat interaction between Namor and Hammond.

Glad to see someone else is giving it a try 🙂

I collect Amazing Spiderman and Avengers (which'll be New Avengers soon), but I was thinking of collecting an X-men comic. What's the regular X-men comic like (the one where Gambit's blind

After the next storyline a new writer is taking over. Peter Milligan from X-Statix. The current writer is Chuck Austen, with the amazing Salvador Larocca as the artist. Austen's stories are usually good or even great ideas and concepts executed poorly. The next arc features a new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and will delve into the mystery of Xorn.

Astonishing X-Men is a very good read. Whedon has a great grasp on what he's doing. Regular ol' super-heroics, with great twists and awesome execution. I would shy away from Uncanny, but that's just my taste.

The issue where it's blind gambit vs. the brotherhood looks good. There are also two x-men comics (off the heroes and villans storyline) coming out two weeks apart, one on the 15th the other on the 29th
