Comic of the month!

Started by ScarletSpider48 pages

It's decompressed, you need something to fill up all the panel space that could be used for a storyline.

Can't wait for Ultimate Defenders in issue 6!

yeah, thats a good point, overall ultimate 2 was great, but i thought new avengers was alot better, but thats just me

I thought they were both good as well. Not sure which one I liked more.

new avengers #1 was amazing, i cant wait for the next issue

I wasnt all that keen on it.
I read it, but i doubt ill be collecting it.

sentry:
http://www.classicmarvel.com/cast/1st_sentry.htm

sentry is a great character, im glad they have him in this comic, he has such a great dilemma

i cant wait for more of new avengers, sentry has me hyped, and having cap, spidey, ironman, and wolvie into the mix makes it real interesting, and i thought adding luke cage and spiderwoman was great also.....i wonder who the mystery character is

i thought it was sentry.
i assume he'll be taking over from thor as the super heavyweight of the team.
I dont know much about his past or previous appearences, but it seems as though the writers have more or less a clean slate with this character to make him into whatever they want. They would never have been able to have as much artistic liscence with thor's character, as he was too well established.

i dont know if it'll still be used now, but in the past, sentry was addicted to the serum which gave him is light powers, and out of his addiction a character called the void appeared, the void is basically an enemy, and the exact opposite of sentry, it uses darkness as a weapon

his powers are basically like supermans, except that serum gives him an edge being able to control light

yeah. it mentioned that on the link above.

I never liked the idea of how the avengers has people like sentry and thor fighting alongside the weaker human avengers.
I mean, what are the non-powered humans going to do that the godlike characters cant do?

they could do alot, its the same thing with JLA, what the hell are batman and GL gonna do while supes, martian manhunter, AND wonder woman fight the big enemies

GL is potentially more powerful than superman.
Batman is the guy that funds the JLA, so they're not gonna kick him out.

youre not even talking about JLA anymore, youre talking about "financial oppurtunity" JLA, lol

batman is around because he's rich and GL is around because he has potential...whoop-dee-doo

hal GL is way more powerful than superman.
Batman can find ways to beat any of the JLA.

i barely know anything about JLA members, but batman being able to take down any JLA has nothing to do with them fighting a strong enemy, unless batman wants to become evil and kills them all lol

all i know is that batman could take down supes. i dont know aboot the rest but captin america could beat up batman.

Batman can take down Supes because of a couple fundamental weaknesses Superman has. Captain America doesn't have those weaknesses, and on a deserted cityscape, with no tactical advantages to either one, I believe Cap would eventually take it.

As far as comics go; I can't wait for the Nightwing year one arc coming up in his comic. He and Bab's first get together and much more, sounds great.

the best comic of this month.... hrmmm... of course, ignoring Identity Crisis, simply becuase it is quite possibly the best comic arc ever, I'm going to go with Transformers Generation One #10. It was simply outstanding. Some of everyone's favorite bots and cons make their appearances, plenty of action, great art, and some awesome hints at things to come for the series!

im one of the few in my comic store who dont care about identity crisis and i dont read transformers, but the best comic of december for me so far, New Avengers #1

it'll probably be bumped by either the next conan, blade of the immortal, or wolverine

dunno if this is late a month or not but...

Fantastic 4 #520. Johnny being Galatcus' herald is awesome. It makes me wish I would have picked up numbers 516-519..but all in due time.

Identity Crisis really doesn't catch my attention all that much. I don't like not knowing who the bad guy is right now. I understand that's the point, but putting the blame on a fat man named the Boomerang is just non-sense.

I like Bullseye Greatest Hits...it's a good read right now.

And just because it's possibly the most entertaining comic series I've ever read in my life...I'll say Cable/Deadpool.

i havent read New Avenger but i will soon.
