Hi everybody.. I'm baaaaack!
Rupert is involved with a new project outside of the Harry Potter films.
Tho he has been busy filming for The Goblet of Fire, Rupert made some extra time this month to voice for a documentary on Peter Pan for the BBC.
Rupert has provided the narration for this program as Peter, along with Jane Horrocks (of Absolutely Fabulous) as Tinkerbell.
Excerpt:
This documentary celebrates 100 years of JM Barrieβs magical & much-loved character thru the eyes of Peter Pan himself.
Rupert Grint (who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films) and Jane Horrocks (BBC Oneβs Absolutely Fabulous) lend their voices to the ever-youthful Peter, and the irrepressible fairy Tinkerbell.
The two friends fly thru the history of the wonderful Neverland and its characters, from the inspiration for the story, to the 1953 Disney film, right up to the present day, and the current feature film Finding Neverland...
'Happy Birthday Peter Pan' will be broadcast on Sunday, the 2nd of January 2005 at 5:45pm on BBC1.
Yeah, me too! ^_^
BTW, here's some more cool Rupert news!

Rupert's part:
Rupert Grint, actor
He'd done only the odd bit of drama at school when Rupert saw on Newsround that young actors were wanted for a Harry Potter movie. So he put together a video of himself acting and rapping about playing Ron Weasley - and at 11 landed his first film role. He is currently shooting the fourth in the series, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. In between Potters, he appeared in Thunderpants with Simon Callow and Stephen Fry, and recently recorded the voice of Peter Pan for a BBC documentary to mark the book's centenary.
The experts say:
Rupert is remarkably free of ego, according to Harry Potter producer David Heyman: 'Success has not gone to his head. He is a natural comedian, and his future is what he makes of it. There will always be a need for actors of his great instinct and talent.'
Rupert says:
'I hope to carry on playing Ron and to get the opportunity to do more comedy. I'd also love to play a villain at some point.'
Being 16: best thing...
'I'm a year closer to being able to drive. I've finished school, so don't have any more homework.'
...and worst thing:
'Shaving. Having to think of smart things to say in interviews like this!'
My 16th birthday:
'I was filming the latest Harry Potter in Oxford and had a huge cake and BBQ with cast and crew."
Remarkably free of ego, "Success has not gone to his head" says David Heyman
--> aww.. so many people has been saying this of him, it must be so true.
"A natural comedian... there will always be a need for actors of his great instinct and talent" --> You dont have to tell me about it Mr. Heyman, I'm a believer!
Loads of info on Rupert:
* Rupert wants to continue playing Ron => confirmed!
* He wants to do more comedy => confirmed
* He wants to play villain => confirmed
* He has finished school and have no plans to pursue higher education
--> he hates homework that much huh
* He cant drive yet
--> Remember that his dad is a race-car memorial dealer, and his favorite car is a Lotus Elise!
* He has started shaving
--> hello puberty!
* Rupert: "Having to think of smart things to say in interviews like this!"

* The 16th birthday bash -- on the set!
--> Sooo, he had a party with the GoF cast & crew while filming in Oxford! A "huge" cake & BBQ.. and I wasnt invited?! So NOT fair
Oh, and advance Merry Christmas to all of Rupert's fans here at KMC! ^_^
Oh yeah, I think DanRad has spoken of that "towel girl" about a gazilion times!
I just couldnt imagine how Rupert could stand hearing it again and again without rolling his eyes π and going like "oh no, not that towel girl againn.."
I mean if I was the towel girl, I'd charge Dan some fee for always using me for publicity!
Or I'm gonna go up to the press and scream "heeeyy, I'm the towel girl DanRad talks about -- gazillion times!" π
Or I'm gonna go up to DanRad and ask him if he's in love with me. π
Honestly, I think Dan and that "towel girl" should GET MARRIED! π π
BTW...
