little hint, German, Dutch, and other languages may not exist in this form in the SW canon, so the significance of Vader, Tyranus, Maul, and Sidious might be different. However, based on what Obi-wan calls vader in episode IV, and Darth Bane's name, I still think "Darth" is a proper name

When Sidious gives Anakin the name Vader he will explain to him that HE (Anakin) is the choosen one... The Father... OF THE FORCE

This is Sidious infalting Anakins head and further making him realize that the Jedi were not being truthful to Anakin and were trying to hold him back making Anakin ripe for the turn to the dark side were he will realize his full power
