Cap is the superior field tactician. Besides, the man stunned the hulk in hand to hand combat. Could batsy do that? No. Could batman beat Giantman single handed without his damn utility belt? No. Could bats take out dozens of soldiers unarmed, while doped and tranquilized out of his mind? No. Cap wins.

If Bruce is so smart and so rich why not have a suit like Iron Man so he could fly just like a real bat?...This way he could leave the belt at home.
If bat gas could work on super heros then the Lex Luthor and Dr Doom types would have Pussy Galore fly over every hero with knock out gas and secure a win......

This is truly a battle of two of the best in comic history, who like in the avengers/jla story [though in broader terms than the simple h2h fight], will require every move and strategy and feint to come out of the bag to find a decisive winner.
My personal opinion is that Batman has the edge, when he has access to his gear in that it gives him a whole different element to the fight, where-as Cap pretty much still has to close to distance and win a fight against a near-equal, or throw his shield for a win. While Batman can fight at any range with all different types of variables, from several types of gasses and explosives, capsules, flashbangs, batarangs, ropes, darts, etc. etc.

Agree. When it comes to weapons, I think Batman has much more diversity in combat and that's why I think he would get a 6/10 (that's if weapons were involved).
In a regular H2H, I am convinced that it will be 5/10 for both fighters. Batman is the better martial artist imo because 1) he is definitely more diversified as a fighter and uses all kinds of variations in a fight, while Captain America, 95% of the time, uses only boxing, kickboxing and jujutsu. Steve knows a lot of different styles, but he almost never uses them. 2) Batman uses H2H more often while Cap is more reliant on the shield. Cap may be just as experienced in terms of H2H, but its like two equal pro gamers: if one plays less and one plays more, the guy who plays more will probably have the edge. But with Captain America's physical superiority, with encompasses everything from speed to strength, it evens out to 5/10.
