"I like to keep my private stuff pretty vague," said Church, who owns up to being single, having a girlfriend and having a daughter, whose name he won't divulge. He will say he owns a home in Dallas that he's leased out, and he prefers beer to wine.
Which beer? He won't say, only that "given my physical training for Spider-Man, they only want me to drink light beer."
Church has been in Los Angeles lately for wardrobe fittings and "being in the mud all day. They did plaster casts of my body for prosthetics. They also wanted to cut my hair to get an idea for (computer) animators (to determine) what my look will be."
He's also mum on whom he'll play when director Sam Raimi starts shooting near year's end. Rumors swirl that Church will be Venom, a classic villain from Spidey comics, or perhaps a new baddie.
He's been training at a gym in Kerrville, and he may make two more movies before Spider-Man 3 starts to roll. He also just did voice work for an animated Charlotte's Web with Julia Roberts and Jennifer Garner. But Spider-Man 3 is "my biggest commitment so far in budgetary terms. It's pretty huge."
Though the intimate, offbeat Sideways is the opposite of an action film, Church said its writer-director, Alexander Payne, told him his favorite film of last year was Spider-Man 2. Church feels Alfred Molina, who played villain Doc Ock, was robbed of an Oscar nod.

Well hopefully they will give us more info to work with. If not we can keeping guessing about the villain he we play. They guy seems like a good actor so far. How long until we hear rumors about a part 4?
yeah, I don't think it will be long now before we hear some official word on who he will be playing.

Christopher Walken could be the evil Kraven in the third Spidey movie.Walken is portraying as the villain in James Bond's movie"View To a Kill", "The Runaway"with The Rock and"Last Man Standing"with Bruce Willis.but he played the role as Max Schreck,The evil Penguin's right hand and Selina Kyle's ex-boss in "Batman Returns".but on the third movie.he could potraying his role as the evil Kraven in "Spiderman 3"

Kraven. Good character, not big enuff though.
THC is the villain, they've already stated this. There is no Kraven played by Walken. If Kraven was in it, or if Walken was casted, we'd have heard of it by now. 95% its THC as Sandman, which sucks...but its better than Kraven. At least Sandman might look kinda cool, Kraven is a horrible villain. Thats like having a whole movie based on spider-slayers.
Here here. My idea for III was to have the symbiote in the beginning and have Parker fighting a few smaller villains like Rhino and Shocker, then to have Venom in it. Sadly that's not gonna happen...crap...I'm not a Sandman fan at all, but I'd MUCH rather see that than Kraven or like...Kingpin...or...GG2.
Lets break down the suspects here:
Venom: Highly unlikely.Sam Raimi strongly dislikes Venom,Venom needs a alot of screen time to be set up,and he's be all cgi ala the Hulk.Not to mention the Goblin story needs to be finished.Venom can't share screen time with another villain.
Electro: Yes great powers,he needs a costume revamp though.But Dr Doom has electric powers in the FF movie.So thats old hat.
Mysterio: I love old fish bowl.Imagine the cool stuff that could be done with his illusions.And Church is old enough to play him.
Scorpion: Again he is likely.Jameson creates him cos he's finally sick of the Wall crawler and his meddling.But his tail would be alot like Ock's tentacles.Been there done that.So that greatly lowers his chances.
Sandman:Church looks a hell of alot like him,he's a classic villain,Raimi loves the classics,Tobey Maguire loves Sandman.He doesn't need a huge set up.He can share screen time with Harry as GG2.Need I say more??
