To be honest, the whole series has been leading up to the appearance of Venom. This is how I'm guessing it'll happen: Jameson's son goes into space, get's the rock with the Venom symbiote, (like the cartoon series, which everyone and their mother has seen) and comes back to earth. Spidey gets the costume, and kick's Flint's ass. Spidey gets rid of costume, and while Eddy comtemplates suicide, the suit grabs him. By the way, Sam Raimi is blowing smoke out his ass if he says there's no Venom. To be honest, it isn't Spider-Man without him.
I agree, It'd be clever to lead everything up to the apparance of Venom. But you never know, they could cut everything Short.
But I aslo think if 4 to be the last spidey film, then 3 would certainly have a cliffhanger of Venom.
I think Sony know perfectly well that the majority of spidey fans Want Venom to be shown asap. The anxiety is too great for them not too give us a ll a taste. But it would kill it if he was to be shown in 3 wouldn't it?
They know that if they mention him and give tiny taster and hints leading to him people will DEFINATELY come see the 4th.
I Also think it'd be a possibility for a powerful enemy to nearly defeat spiderman. Then he gains the black suit and defeats the enemy, but then rids of the symbiote. Then the symbiote finds it's way to Eddie Brock!
Anyone agree?
Or am I just being stupid??

I love venom as much as any over webslinger fan in here. I however am not a fan of some non spider-man fan coming along and totally re-writing the spider-man mythos. Theres just no way they could properly put in Venom and completely ignoring the Secret Wars.
Topher Grace is probably the last person who should play Eddie too as most the Spider-man fans here will agree.
The only way I think I could possibily live with Venom being in Spider-Man 3 would be if the writers borrowed the story line from Ultimate Spider-man. Although I'm not really big on how they did that with Peter being cousins with Eddie.
If I had to fit Topher into the costume of a villian I think I would probably pick... Max Dillon AKA Electro. Although they would probably rape the costume.
They weren't cousins in USM, they were old friends. But here's something to consider for all those people who say Topher's going to be Brock:
In SM1, Willem Dafoe looked a LOT like Norman Osborn.
In SM2, Alfred Molina was perfect for Ock.
In SM3, Thomas Haden Church looks REALLY good as Flint Marko.
Now, all those considered, do you think they'd slip up and cast Grace as Brock?
Drache53 you have a really good point. The Villains have always been very well casted. I was never happy with Peter\MJ casting but every single other cast member I felt was perfect or nearly perfect.
I hope Topher is playing Max. Im a big electro fan so it would be cool ;p
Still, this is hollywood we are dealing with and the more popular these movies get the more money the studios want to make.
