Erm - what i meant was those pics look like they MIGHT be partialy airbrushed, and whats with the Things broken looking arm?

Yeah they do look a bit airbrushed but my biggest problem is with the Thing. His arm is not broken his glove is just not very well connected with the rest of the costume. Which is terrible considering were in the year 2004 and they still can't connect a glove with the rest of the costume without making the two look like two seperate items.

The special effects team should be embarassed, the thing's costume is worse than "straight to video" quality.

Comic movies are about visuals, if you can't even pull that off then the greatest acting writing and directing (which I doubt this film will have but I'll still give it a chance) won't help.

The thing shoulda been CGI, I mean he's made of rock, you don't have to make it look like skin so it'd be that much easier. Instead they go with a man in a rubber suit.

I couldn't have said it better myself. 😎

Hopefully these pics will work and won't disappear like the others but if they do I apologize in advance. Lets compare the 1994 Thing with the 2004 Thing.

how come the 1994 one looks better?
is it me?

Same thoughts here.

Its not you its them. The sad thing is that the 1994 Thing was from a film that only had a budget of $2-$4 million dollars and the 2004 Thing is coming from a film that has a budget o $90-$105 million dollars.

Fox's Official Fantastic Four Synopsis
Source: 2Oth Century Fox
September 25, 2004

'Tony W' tells us the 20th Century Fox website has updated and now includes the studio's official synopsis for Fantastic Four:

Marvel's beloved superhero team comes to the big screen. Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic, who can elongate his body; Susan Storm / Invisible Woman, who not only can become invisible at will but can render other objects invisible; Johnny Storm / Human Torch, who can shoot fire from his finger tips and bend flame; and Ben Grimm / The Thing, a hideously misshapen monster with superhuman strength, together battle the evil Doctor Doom

The Thing's costume sucks. And Mr. Fantastic looks nothing like Reed Richards.

I agree they haven't learned anything in the last ten years.

Waite, I know it's coming, the marvel franchise is about to drop a big turd, and that turd is The Fantastic Four Movie.

I am glad that the producers of this film took so much time and money to prove that it takes more than time and money to make a semi-decent movie.
