yea but they did show how much pain he was in and seeing as he was such a bad ass then an arrow to the heal made him scream like a *****.. i think they did a decent job showing it... but why would Paris keep shooting him when his cousin is telling him to stop and he can see agamemnon had been killed... put 2 and 2 together maybe? then again they werent the smartest back then

and yes achilles had the best lines I liked when they were raiding the temple and the guy was like are you sure this is wise and he didnt even respond just took up his sword and sliced off the head of the statue

I think maybe Paris was just fcused on the man who had killed his brother, and couldn't hear his cousin. Also, it did at first look like Achilles' was bout to rape her.

haha true.. plus if you had the chance to kill the greatest warrior who ever lived i think ud take it

no, he wouldn't, he was pansy in a previous fight already, why would he stand ground now?

well he was hardly standing ground.. he had a bow and was out of reach of achilles and achilles didnt even see it coming.. a complete ***** way to kill him it fits Paris perfectly

he did come close in the end

personally, paris got on my nerves. god, you don't crawl on your knees and hold on to your brother's leg like that. he's the one who proposed the challenge in the first place.

Well, it is a natural thing to do. He'd never taken life, probably never even seen a corpse before. What would you do?

Not back then Phoenix. He had no honor!

It's still a natural thing to do. Many men fought this instinct and were killed by their enemies.

Although I'm not denying that he was disgraced in the views of his countrymen by his actions

But I liked the Gods... 🙁

😉

Also, to the casual observer, would they actually get the whole 'Random woman in the water is Achilles mummy, who dipped him in a special pond to make him special, but neglected to specialise his heel, oh, and incidently, she's a goddess...'

He calls her mum so yes they would LOL
In this movie she's not a Goddess because there are none but she kinda sees the future 😛

Thats the point. He wanted to fight, and then he runs ❌

Yes, but I said 'casual' observer.

And the reason Achilles is such a great fighter is because his mother is a goddess

Yes, damning in his culture and time. I was merely questioning Angel's description of him as a wuss - this is not a damning action in our time

Not in the movie. They changed the story 😄

Yeh, in this day and age...we are all wusses 😆

he was a wuss, no honor and insulted his city with it, no matter how you turn it

Yes, but he was ((or at least he was portrayed as)) very young, never seen war or death or even blood. He feared for his life, and so he ran. Everyone would do it, unless they were insane or extremely foolhardy

erm, he's a prince ... he got combat and tactical training!

yes, but that is unlikely to be that useful. If he's never actually been in real combat, the panic rush would completely disorient him. Also, do you think his trainers were trying to kill him? They may have got into a bit of trouble if they actually did! 😂 I would have thought they would let him win - there are few true weapons trainers who will half-kill you in training so you can survive in a real fight
