starwars All I'm saying is that if time travel is possible should we be messing with time itself, their are some things that i want ot change but what damage will it have we have our lives to live no matter what happens.
Based on human history, if we could change the past or future, we would screw it all up. 😱

How do you know that?
By the time we get to the future it becomes the present.
If you do somehow travel into the future and then back to the time you left from, then the future would be in your past. And then when you were in the future the past would be your future.
But really the time that you are currently living is in the present.
If I promise to give you a hundred bucks "tomorrow". I can both keep good on my promise AND not give you the money as by the time tomorrow gets here it will be today when it does.

Yes it is possible. We are travelling towards the future right now.
I meant that in the scientifical sense, since we are discussing time travel. Time travel to the past is not possible yet, but time travel to the future is always happening, in the way the word "time travel" is normaly used at least.
Myself I'm really starting to believe the theory that past and present don't exist at the present. Obviously we can't deny both of those extremes are "real", but we will never experience them as they have been / will be then 'present' and not the past or future any more. Those words have been created simply to describe the times that have passed and the times that will be. Every second we pass is gone and never to be regained, just as every moment yet to come is still unformed and therefore impossible to travel into. So, to summarise this, imo they don't exist. Time travel is impossible and always will be.

Just for clarification: You realize don't you we are saying the same thing, right?
There is one big difference, with your idea there is a past somewhere unknown to us and a future not yet made. With my way of thinking it's all right now, there is no yesterday or tomorrow, just now.
Time is space, if this is true then, left is no different than right other than being retrograde to each other. If what you say is true then , left is determined and right is undetermined. Does that make sense?

Is our future already determined as to what we are going to do?
