Here's a thought about why time passes quicker for some and slower for others. This might sound bizarre, but I'll throw it out there.
For children time seems to go by very very slowly. The younger the child the slower time goes. And if you think about it children aren't aware of linear time. They are always living in the very moment of what they are doing..really getting into it. For them summer vacation seems to last forever, like a year...But the older you get, so they say, time flies..
Why is that? Have we lost living for the now and enjoying every moment for living in the past with all it's memories, and the future with all it's hopes, and fears, and regulated by time. Time passes more quickly when you're day dreaming then if your watching a pot of water boil..... I think time passes more quickly when you're not living in the moment, when your mind is filled overflowing with the past, present, and future with all the pain that comes with it...What do ya think???
Yea, it makes since to me. 😑
Interesting theory, debbiejo, however children from birth to a certain age are unaware of the passage of time so time does not exist for them, thoretically. Only when they become aware of the meaning of time and its flow through the universe does time really begin for them.
In adulthood, time is relative, and can give the illusion of speeding up and slowing down, i.e. "Time flys when you're having fun," or "boredom makes time seem like an eternity." In reality time is constant, and depending on your actitivity, the illusion of time passing faster and slower is there.
That's my theory.
the only way into the past is to enter a paralle world. and to do that we would need to find a worm hole. and what r the chances of that happening to us. also you would not know where it will take you do you realy want to risk being seen by someone in the past. that mite set that person or people rong . lol just a theory.
Time is an abstract thought.
Humans devised the concept of time in an attempt to further explain our existence and purpose. How can u work around a thought? It is an intangible concept. To GOD time doesn't exist. Therefore if the Almight hasn't created it then Man cannot create it or hope to revel in it.

so you dont think while you work?
Work.. you can use either conscious mind or sub-conscious mind for it...
Remember what I said, "and humans switch from conscious mind to sub-conscious mind very frequently..." Therefore, sometimes one will eventually not realise, after one has changed from conscious to sub-conscious...
What I really meant is that when one is in the state of conscious mind, time seem to last longer...

Astronauts say that wen they're in space that their clocks slow down. So they are aging slower than the people on Earth (when they are in space).
the answer to that is, according to Einstien, Time is altered in the presence of gravity and as you know, gravity is always present on earth so when you escape gravity (i.e. out in space) that state of altered time is eliminated and you seem to age slower and you clocks seem to tick slower. If you read "black holes, worm holes, and time machines" it gives a very nice explanation of that kind of thing. that is where i got most of my information for the explanation of page 3 of this thread.
I'd imagine time travel wouldn't really be time travel.... If anyone's ever read Crichton's "Timeline, you'd know what I'm getting at. If the theory of infinite dimension/universes is correct, then it would be simple to do "observational" time travel, where, since you're in a different dimension/universe, you cannot violate the "continuum" of the universe from which you came.
