Thor himself wouldn't take Superman, as Thor lost in their fight *though I prefer Thor*; same thing with Hulk, he lost their fight. As for Thing, I agree, he sucks. He is the most useless major character around. How pathetic is it to brag that your claim to fame is being the like the seventh strongest hero in the Marvel Universe. *I'm just throwing out a number here* A better match-up would be a free-for-all between them, minus Thing. Then I say Thor.
Spiderman's not one of the top strongmen. Cap's even further down the list and look how cool he is. But Whoopie is class 100 and nobody cares. I guess popularity and usefulness isn't based on pure strength.
the Thing also happens to be the toghest character behind Dr Doom..he is also a better fighter than either Thor, Hulk or Supes...the point is he is the most human, and has the most limitations and endures the most pain, physical or emotional...therefor the reader can relate to him better and identifies with him...its kinda how most good characters in any genre work...what makes a hero so interesting just because they are stronger than someone?...that doesnt make any sense...so are you saying you just like the biggest strongest hero?...thats what little kids do
Yes but Spider-man has other abilities. He has speed, agility, spider-sense and he's an interesting and unique character. Thing is a weaker, uglier Hulk. Thing is not a better figher than any of those character, I don't know where the hell you got that from. It's incredibly fallacious. Of course I don't 'like the biggest strongest hero', I like the most unique and interesting characters. I like Thor best because he's the mythical Norse god of thunder and I happen to be a Classicist, I like Spider-Man because of his humanitiy and interest, etc. I acknowledge Hulk and Superman as the biggest and strongest, doesn't make them my favorite. I'm pointing out that Hulk, Thor, and Superman have everything Thing has to a far greater degree. It's like Superboy or Batgirl. Completely useless.
Well I take the 'better fighter than any of those' part. Since Superman rarely has to face anyone out of his league, I can't make a justifiable determination in that regard. Still, when one says 'better figher', they don't mean respective to their level, he specifically said 'better fighter than.' That is wrong, period.
"Thing is not a better figher than any of those character, I don't know where the hell you got that from. It's incredibly fallacious"
the Thing's hand to hand fighting skills are certainly better than the other four...I would like to see anyone agree with you about this one...other than the fact that he displays it in comics I could quote marvel.com or just let other people's posts back me up...u are really showing your knowledge of comics with that one...and what did u mean by the thing being the seventh strongest character in the marvel universe?...there are about a thousand characters in the marvel universe...to call the Thing number 7 doesnt make much sense...i could understand senth on the planet...but universe?...non of these guys would rank in the top ten
cool pic of the thingFF and X-men
