Get Photoshop.

srug

If someone has photoshop registered on their computer and i get it from them over ebay wil it work on my computer?

anyone?

A product can only be registered once.

So does it have to be registered on my computer to work?

No, doesn't need to be registered, but you do need to enter a serial number for it to work.

I'm really not too sure on the legality of that, though.

k thanks.

ummmm with ps7 when i download a brush or a brush pack how do i open it in ps7

Here is the tricky part; it is legal to buy second hand software but not to sell it if you are not authorized to sell it or if it wasn’t originally bought from the manufacturer.

im still new at sig making and i am wondering what is a C4D is it a brush or something

a C4D is an abstract shape, usually pre-rendered. Most render sites have C4D or Abstract sections.

They are mainly used in sigs as complimentary elements, placed to cover up for a lack of talent.

so r u saying C4D renders are for noobs and rnt cool because some of them look pretty cool to me

I guess I have a more stringent definition about what qualifies as an artistic endeavour when it comes to sigmaking.

Trendwhoring is rampant.

You need to place it in your brushes folder.

C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Photoshop 7 \ Presets \ Brushes

Then open the program and pull up your brush pallete. Sometimes it loads the brush in itself, if not you need to select Load Brush or Replace Brush.

It depends. Some people use them for EVERYTHING, others use them as a addition, just something small to make it look more interesting. It's all in how you use it and how it turns out. Basically with sigmaking there's usually certain trends (I've stopped going on gfx boards pretty much entirely now so I don't know what the hell they are now), and whatever's was in 30 seconds ago, is considered noobish, and whatever's in now is trendwhoring if you use it. First it was pixel stretching, then grunge brushes, then C4D, then filters, then stock 'manips' (which were actually not manips at all), then spatter brushes and checker board patterns...etc. I say do what you want and use what you want, but do it well.

ok im srry to bother u again but im trying to make a gradient but it will only let me make it to transperant when i need it to be 2 colors how do i get it to go to 2 solid colors because the button isnt working no matter wut gradient i use it goes to transpereant and also how to u save a gradient that u made

scratch that post i figured it out sorry for wasting every1s time. 😮

I'm not sure how to brush the signature. When a tutorial tells me to download the brushes and use them, I don't really know how to. When I attempt to brush it, It comes out white and...ugly.

Help or advice?

Okay first off was it a Zipped file? cause I only know how to DL them...I confused about ABR. or whatever there called 😮

SO anyway, when you download the zipped file save to an area you will remember where its at. like documents.

After is downloaded, double click the folder. you should have the brushes in it and maybe a 'read me'. in the corner where it says 'folder tasks' you should see extract all files

Hit the extract all files and another window should come up titled something like 'extract Wizard' you should find you have the options next and cancel...Click on Next.

Now you should be at the 'select a destion' this where it wants to know where you are going to move the brushes to. Click on Browse.

[ the rest of this may differ depending on the program you have. Mine is CS2]

once in browse you should see a list of choices like 'desktop' my documents' 'my computer' 'my network places' etc.

click on the + sign by 'My Computer'. After this you should see a similar looking list, but with drives and disk names. choose the one you see with the (C: ) mine appears as[B] HP_PAVILION( C: )

From there you should see a list like 'documents and settings' 'program files' etc. Click program flies.

Now you should see a list of the programs listed on your computer. Find the program you are extracting the brushes into and click on the program name. for example on mine I would look for adobe.

Once in that program you need to look for the program its self. this may sound confusing, but there is usually 'help' section, 'utilities' and 'stock' ect. just look for the program you use mine says adobe Photoshop CS2 so thats what I choose.

Now you should see another list with names like 'plug ins' 'legal' 'helpers' etc etc, just find the one named presets and click on it. you should see Brushes at the top all most right away. hit that and make sure its highlighted and then hit OK at the bottom of the window

it will you take back to the destination window, in your browse bar you should something like this C: \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Brushes all you want to do next is hit the Next button and the file will extract.

I hope this helped, sorry if I made it more confusing. its the first time I ever actually typed out instructions. Normally I just do it. Lana may be able to help you more if you need it. She knows a lot about this stuff. 🙂
