I am not preventing anyone from posting, but I have as much right to post as they do. How a debate works is people post and counter post.
It is unsesecary, if you want, make a thread for comments and constructive posts about profiles and people will have the option of copying and pasting them on if they like them. That way what you want is still done and doesn't require changing anything and eleminates the possiblity of profile spamming and bashing.

Just copy and pasting into a profile isn't the same. Thing's can be edited. Also, people still don't get comments.

See, that's a bad idea. It would be just merged into the rating thread and then no one would still give comments.

I fail to see how allowing people to leave comments on profiles would be a bad thing.
Personally I think people put WAY too much into their profiles, but whatever.
And I really doubt people would go out of their way to bash on something that like that...
And really, Eclipso, it eems to me that you're disagreeing just for the sake of it.
No I really see a problem with this idea. People need to have total control over their profiles.

Well, what was it you said just a page back? About opinions not mattering? Ultimately it only matters if Raz sees a problem with an idea.
People don't have 100% control over their profiles already as it is, as is evident by the fact that a note appears on them when they are banned, or the fact that if you put something in it against the rules you will be told to remove it.
Nor do comments on profiles mean they have to be ABOUT the profile. It could be things as simple as someone just saying hi or leaving a note for someone they haven't seen on in a while.
Thats what PM's are for. Again it shows the idea is unessecary and yes mods have the right to post there, other members should not. And yes while mods can enfocre the rules it will only create more of a hassle for them.
And I know Raz has the final say and he should. But I am allowed to post my opposition and concerns about the idea.

See, that I always saw would be more the point of allowing comments on profiles, then simply saying "hee nice profile" because most people couldn't care less about having a fancy profile. I always saw it being more as a noteboard, so to speak.

Not everyone has PMs turned on. I probably wouldn't if I wasn't a mod.
See, I don't think this is something that we should actually have. It really is kind of pointless.
But I also don't see that it would be something that would cause that many problems. Chances are likely 99% of people would never even know it would exist let alone use it if it were available. And that was why I even bothered to say anything on it at all.
