Have to agree with you Scythe, the films are gonna hit the fanbase REEEEEAL hard, so were going to need to discuss it. Unlike TMNT or The Matrix TF actually has quite a few multi-faceted outlets (Comics , Toys , Cartoons etc) which should keep it alive.
Thank you, I'm glad you see what I'm talking about. However let's hope for the best, or the worse.

I agree with Scythe's opinion that the Transfromers movies will become the next big topic of thread making for KMC Transformers fans.Kill Bill, The Matrix, The Terminator, and LOTR all have their own sub-forums, and, IMO, their tenure is past. I believe that it's time for The Transformers to have one of their own.
However, I, personally, don't see any reason for a new moderator, seeing as how Dusty, the movie forums moderator, and the Globals can easily clean up any trash.
Matt, thank you for the support, we can only wait and see what comes next now.
The Kill Bill/Tarantino forum doesn't exist anymore.
And whoever said that Matrix doesn't have "multi-faceted outlets" is rather ignorant of it.
The forums quoted as examples are for the most part (Matrix, Terminator, TMNT) subforums that are rarely posted in anymore. LOTR is still a fairly active forum because there's much more than just the movies. The Matrix forum was at one point one of the most active forums on here, beat only by the GDF and OTF and was in a large way responsible for the huge surge in people joining KMC in 2003 (which still continues today).
And personally, I've seen no demand at all for a Transformers forum. Yeah, a handful of people saying that they think it'd be cool - but that's not nearly enough. People were the same way in asking for the TMNT forum but look at that.

But the point is they still recieved a TMNT forum. Like we've stated, with the TF movie/s soon coming out, the old-school cartoons leaving an impact on pop culture, the toys that literally grew up with us, TF has enough to offer as much as the Matrix sub-forum.
I'm not the one who brought up the Matrix and LOTR forums, because those are highly popular, I however did bring up the Terminator forum because it's been dead for as long as I can remember, and seriously, would it harm or hurt anyone to just have a TF sub-forum added? KMC is long overdue for one in my honest opinion.

I maybe jumped the gun when I included LOTR in my earlier statement, seeing as how I agree with you, Lana, on the remark that it is much more than just a movie trilogy.
Personally, I feel that the initial hype of the Transformers is just now bubbling around our community here. The movie itself, IMO, will be the hottest movie of the summer, maybe even hotter than the Simpsons Movie, and will, thus, spawn a slew of love/hate threads no different than the Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman movies of yesteryear. The same for the inevitable sequels to come.
I'm no moderator, nor am I to be considered a veteran member, seeing as I've only been here for 2 years, but I have this tingling in my tail that the Transformers hype and fanbase will grow a LOT in the coming months and might, just might, lead to new people searching online for Transformers sites/info, and will bring them to KMC, the same way most of us wandered into here whilst searching for movies and the like. This meaning a whole slew of threads by new members who are uninformed of our ways.
Better safe than sorry?

It's starting to get this way, I saw a thread dedicated to just the movie's newest trailer. It'll get some good done, I think, if we just leave this to the actual Admin of KMC. However to negate our proposal for a TF sub-forum still leaves me confused.

I also agree with this. I highly doubt a TF sub-forum will go unseen. I've met some pretty die-hard fans out there.
Yay, working Custom Smilies again. 🙂
Now, I need to make my request once more.
The LOST sub-forum needs to be removed. Merge all the major LOST threads into the one stickied in the forum and move it to the regular TV forum. Go into the sub-forum and you'll see only the stickied thread gets any posts, the rest of the front page is full of threads that haven't been touched in a week or two. There is no demand for it to be seperate now.

well, its not like it would hurt to have a TF forumi just think it will be a flop, thats all.
We could try it. If it's a major flop it can be closed, but for the time being it will get some postage by users. But like some of us are stating, it wouldn't hurt to just make a new addition to KMC.
