Agreed.

It's actually 540x150. And the pixel size does not effect dialup users at all, that's the actual file size that would.

However, considering the fact that most people have their screen resolution set at 1024x768 (which I can't understand why, it's so small), 200px is about a third of the viewable page.

150 tall is plenty. A good sig doesn't need to be giant.

If my monitor supported anything bigger that 1024x768, I would use it. But it doesn't, so nyah.

I tried to change mine last night but it seemed to warp. Needless to say I don't really want to mess around with what already works and my monitor a pretty basic one, so 1024x768 suits me fine for the moment. Maybe I'll go widescreen one day 😄

No.

I'm sure we've had that forum before.

Still here.

Alright, I have a suggestion though I doubt it'll get considered, but here goes nothing.

I'd like to know if KMC can start banning by IP address rather than just banning a users profile. I can't begin to describe the tedious secrecy we have to endure on KMC due to the same jackass member posting pornagraphy. We don't all live in places where porn is alright to pop up on screen.

Mods continue to ban the member, however he keeps coming back, an IP ban would mean he's gone for good, until he finds another computer or an IP masking program, but still...

It are IP bans.

suggestion: cars and motors forum? shrug

I'm sorry, I'm having alittle trouble understanding that. What do you mean?

Storm failed at grammar.

Anyway, the bans are IP bans. But those are easy to get around, unfortunately.

letting loyal members have a pick of username that has been previously used by members who haven't posted,

I tried to change my name to a certain thing but couldn't because someone picked it 5 years ago but decided to not post, ever.

I just think that after a certain amount of time people with 0 post count should be stripped of their username, leaving names available for continuous posters.

The majority of the members requesting this have already gone through one or more name changes. Why clear names when you can' t stick to one anyway.

if they got the name they actually wanted then maybe they wouldn't be so reluctant to keep it.

I would just like to point out that I've suggested this same thing, and I haven't changed my name in almost 2 years (and likely never will again).

I've heard the argument that "it just forces the user to be more creative", but seriously, why are we giving deference to people who joined 2, 3, and more years ago but never posted once?

I don't see what the problem would be. If someone wants their username, e mail the original user, give them a response time, if they don't respond or respond saying it's okay, then let the username be re administered.
