I think this thread is kinda dumb. Gladitor loses his confidence when he tries to whoop supes, and can't, then supes wails on him OR gladiator flings him into another galaxy w/o a red sun, and wails him.

Which is al very well and good, if you could prove that Gladiator would lose confidence.

I keep saying this, but no one seems to listen... Gladiator has only lost confidence when characters he knows shouldn't be able to, manage to stand up to him/surprise him/start beating him.

He does not lose confidence against people who are as strong, or stronger than himself. Didn't lose confidence against Thor, Supreme, Black Bolt, Quasar, Binary, Hyperion etc. Didn't lose confidence going against Tyrant even though he had people like Beta Ray Bill, Surfer, Morg and Terrax getting beat down all around him.

well, thanx to the DC writers, superman gets more an moer superpowers and they get stronger and stronger, while gladiator stays the same. did he lose his powers in house of m?

That's just Superman's character though, it's nothing new. How do you think he goes from Leaping Tall buildings to moving planets? The more time he spends absorbing the energy, the more powerful he gets, and it's been like that since day one.

Umm, no. Only mutants lost there powers. Mutants on earth. Gladiator's not a mutant, and he's not on earth. And Gladiator's power level does not stay the same. He's written all over the place.

in the long run, superman gets more and more powerful. Sentry, Hyperion, and Gladiator were all based off superman, so logically, they'll be less powerful. I'm the LAST, I repeat LAST person who'd be on superman's side, but I don't see him winning this.

100% confident glads could take supes to the cleaners with a good writer, but glads is written poorly so i dont see him winning.

If there was ever a battle supes would win, because marvel based the character on him, the same would apply for the sentry and hyperion, so out of repect to the true hero , he would win.

What is the point in reading his books?
Whatever he goes up against, he just reaches out, gets the powers he needs and wins.
