Superman vs Gladiator.

Started by Soleran52 pages

Lol Superman now has the ability to generate white noise at very high levels , what's he the new BB with a cape.

I posted about that right after it happened in the Superman respect thread, later someone brought the scans.. Avy of Validus I believe.

Superman can emit any frequency. That's how he talks to Aliens and stuff, since he can speak most languages in the universe.

I don't know if you noticed it in Crisis, but E2 Superman screamed and crumbled a city. Making me believe Kal could do the same, since they were portrayed as equals.

Similarly with Supergirl whisling to counteract siezmic vibrations.

God, he's a terrible character.

What is the point in reading his books?
Whatever he goes up against, he just reaches out, gets the powers he needs and wins.
Terrible.

I fail to see what makes Superman SOOOO terrible when Thor and Silver Surfer can do what ever the hell they can dream up? A powerful Character doesn't make them terrible. And it's not like he doesn't evolve. It's even in the character's history. WHen he was a teenager, he couldn't fly and wasn't nearly as strong as he is as a man. It would stand to reason that he would get more powers as he aged. Or he would get stale.

Gladiator should win.

He'll lose in a comic everytime. But Glads should win this fight.

The difference is that DC totally ignores any semblance of "logic" or science with this character.
They don't even try to make it beleivable.
Holding a black hole in his hand. That is just the silliest thing ever. Ever.
If he is made of matter, it does not happen.
If he is made of solar energy, it does not happen.
They constantly rewrite him to be able to do whatever the lates 'tard-writer wants him to do.
Awful. On the same level as X-men or Hulk.

At least Thor and Surfer are a little more quality.
Put it this way: the crazier the feats, the more rediculous the character.

No, Gladiator should not, could not, and would not beat him. Gladiator SHOULD lose and WOULD lose. End of story.

Next Stop: Super Man will have magic

Wow, dude. You're better than this. At least debate with me.

I believe Gladiator would defeat Superman. Prove me wrong.

I don't need to be better than that. Superman's feats speak for themselves.

-Gladiator can rip apart stars?

Superman turned the endless wheels of Maggedon which is = to moving an entire solar system. 😐

-Gladiator can fly 100 times the speed of light?

Superman flew Darkseid to the sun in a couple of seconds, when it takes light 8 minutes to get there. Superman also flew so fast that it created a boom tube in the time dimension thus he instantly travelled. Instant travel beats Gladiator. And Gladiator doesn't speed blitz like Superman does. That's a huge disadvantage right there.

The problem with the two things I listed for Gladiator up above is that the MAJORITY of the time, he's pathetic. Wolverine stalemated him for 6 days straight, Colossus matched him physically, Hulk punked the sh*t out of him, he admitted Thor was way too much for him, etc..

Not to mention, Gladiator doesn't have the "extra" powers that Superman has.

-T-Vo anyone?

-Apparently Superman can absorb people's bio-energy and make himself stronger.

Sonic attacks that can destroy cities, invisibility, intangibility, etc. etc.

So tell me why Gladiator wins again?

Ripping a star apart > Maggedon feat

If somebody wanted to rip apart a star where would be a good place to start?

Yeah, like,

Half of supermans feats just dont make sense. He ripped a star apart, BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

it just doesnt make SENSE.

Does anyone else have this problem with supermans "high end" feats?

I dunno. If someone wanted to move a planet, would they get in the push up position. Perhaps the handstand?

Superman has never ripped a star apart. And besides this is comics so don't apply real science. Once we start doing that then................

Bah! Kallark is a loser.

Most top tier strength feats do not makes sense. But they are not really suppose to the point the writer is trying to get acrossed is suppose to make the character look uber.

If we start using real physics and sh!t we will be reading comic books with empy pages.

when it comes down to it, the real reason gladiaotr should lose, is because he is a loser.

it is his place in the cosmic scheme of things.
he can lose to ANYBODY on the wrong day.
that alone, makes Supes the winner.
Gladiaotr iswaaaay too inconsistent.
He has "Baggage"!
