i wouldn´t say phoenix because i think it´s unfair, since she has a cosmic power (and we are talking about mutants) the phoenix force is an cosmic entity. i know x-man is considered stronger then magneto, but i think mags has the potential to be stronger, or maybe not, even so franklin and nate are considered the two most powerful mutants.

Yeah, where's Apoc, Hulk, Abomination etc.Yes Hulk is a mutant.

If I recall correctly Banner is a mutant due to his intellect. The ability to absorb high levels of radiation and not die and the absorb radiation thing is the only thing I can think of that makes Emil Blonsky a mutant , but I would not call that a mutant power in and of itself unless you thinking of something I am not.
My list looks like this:
1. Franklin Richards
2. Nathan Gray (X-Man)
3. Nathanial Summers (Cable) without the techno virus
4. En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse)
5. Magnus (Magneto)
6. Charles Xavier (Professor X)
7. Cassandra Nova
8. Bennet du Paris (Exodus)
This is counting all the current and none of the potentially most powerful such as Gambit, Iceman, Storm, Jean Gray etc.
so what now we have technicalities to the term mutants? you sound like a mutant discriminator, i think some of you are just pissed that hulk would whoop on most of the x-men
Decopalypse, that list looks far more plausible than manowar's, but i would put xavier a little higher, and amybe add a few characters that are not apart of the x-men world
yeah phoenix can penerate magnetos helmet. I higly doubt magneto's electro magnetic feild could withstand a pscioni blast from dark phoenix. Maybe but i doubt it, If Cable can make left overs of magnetowith his psi staff im sure magneto would fall against the strongest of the strong of the marvel universe, even though he has a chance and has gone knuckle to fist with many of the top dogs in marvel, shit he is a top dog, but not nearly the most powerfull
ok heres my answers

2. Iceman is no where near the potentially most powerful
3. yes Storm is up there but i only posted the top 8 and shes happens to fall a couple of slots after that
4. I consider Phoenix and Jean Grey the same person

I don't think Pheonix in any form should be on this list due to it being a Cosmic Force and not a mutant, Jean Gray however is different.
I see you are not knowledgable on the full potential of Gambit, Manowar. If Remy some how mastered control of his power he could control all forms of kinetic energy at will. That is damned powerful if you ask me.
Iceman at his potential is also very powerful as he can drop temperatures to absolute zero stopping all motion of any object down to the atomic level.
I view Jean as just her regular self and Pheonix as Jean powered by a cosmi entity that she can notfully exploit yet.

Considering Rogue only has her powers due to her fight with Ms.Marvel, with the exception of power draining
