Alien vs predator.

actually, talk of AvP 2 is already out there from fox. They said that they were planning to do one even if AvP was only moderately successful, HOWEVER, they also said they will get another director... which i will be very glad with. Oh, and Rages, the Celtic pred wasn't the one that "lived", he was the one that was killed 2nd. Like ive said in other posts, i dont mind having all 3 preds die, but I hated loosing 2 preds to ONE alien. Even if it was 2 aliens, it would have made me feel better, but having them loose to just ONE when there about a dozen of them (and hundreds of potentials)

Or hell, even cut to the scene that shows the Scar-Predator (the main one) killing his first alien BEFORE the celt dies from the same alien would have made it better. I think its just the feeling that you see 2 preds (my heroes) die right off the bat without seeing an alien get what it really deserves...

Okay, probably the only other thing that I forgot to mention that I didn't like, was how quickly the aliens came. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it at least take a day or so for a full grown alien to come out, with the facehugger locked on for a few hours, then I think another few hours to maybe a day for teh alien to burst out? I could be wrong, but if not, it should've taken a lot longer than it did.

it doesnt take 8 hours, for a regular alien (judging by the first movie) it should only take between 2 and 4. Now, in alien 3, ripley had it for a while, but that was because it was a queen. Dont go by anything in alien ressurrection, cuz those were genetically altered.

The surviving Pred, seem to me that he was overshadowed by that woman, she have like saving him here and there. He shld have more action than her. Saving her and all that. I expected him to fight the queen to death. It was dissapointing. The true class, prowness, skill, power of even a unblooded Yautja was under-rated.

Bloody-Disgusting has a report from a recent screening of Alien vs. Predator which included a Q&A with the film's writer and producer Paul W.S. Anderson. Here's an interesting bit...

About the studio's cutting of the film, which he had no control over, he said, and I quote, "All of the best scenes were cut." Anderson was obviously very annoyed at the way the film was released. However, this was not purely because of the PG-13 limitation, which incidentally, the studio enforced THREE WEEKS before the release date! It was always going to be R until then. Part of the reason for the cutting was that some of the effects were not ready by the time the release date came around. The effects team had very little time to do anything.

As far as the content that was cut, apparently we see all those who die, die on screen, but he also said that there is a sub-plot that we will have to wait for on DVD. Yes there will be an R-rated Director's cut DVD although they don't know the release date yet.

Well, like in all the Alien movies, u have to wait for the director's cut so u can enjoy some more scenes 🙂. I know, history repeats itself.
I don't mind the 2 Preds loosing quickly cuz Aliens r real hand to hand monsters. Even for a Predator that size it can be overwhelming.
I quit wondering why they sprouted from the bodies that early, the movie didn't have the timespace for it. My surprise was that the woman kept it together to the end, just like Ripley in Aliens. But Ripley went to confront her fears, and this woman just saw the Preds and the Aliens for the first time and she managed to get through it with 2 scratches on her face (that the Predator marked on her). She got up like it was nothing when the Predator slapped her across the room? She didn't even gasp for air! What is she? a Sayajin? Dammit, these little things got me puzzled a bit. They let u know from the start that the woman has the best chance of survival.
Oh, and the idea of making them get the shoulder cannons first, yes that was really good! That added some nice flavour to it, I was really pleased with that idea.

Did u guys like the end? The new alienPred cross breed?
Sometimes I don't know what they want us to understand about the Aliens, cuz the Predator was a host for the little bugger, just like humans. How come the dna got crossed now? + the alien took its time to get out of his chest.

Well the alien's form always depends on the host that the face hugger grabs and lays an egg in to gestate. Like if it laid an egg in an elephant, we would have an aliephant. It takes longer to gestate of course for more complicated structures. thus the ending was fine by me, i mean the predator is obviously far advanced from the human structure, so i allow time.

Now moving on, I have one question.

If the Predators can scan the insides of a person or other living thing why didn't they realize that there was a an alien inside the dead Predators stomache? They must have scanned him in order to figure out he was dead right?

No, it was pretty obvious he was dead. I mean, look at the size of the whole in his chest.

friend of mine downloaded this off the internet and said it's shit. so my vote is still out.

Wow. I mean there are movies that i would download and watch on the internet, but a movie like this, i would be glad to give my money to see. Even if it was a failure or not, i would go in knowing that filmakers actually cared through and through about this movie and, how the fans feel about it. I mean why judge such a grand movie in the viewing of a shitty bootleg off of some people to people site. go see it in the DArk house, of loud bangs these movies are meant to be witnessed in. The theaters. you dont get movies like this very often, and when they come and go, you will be bitching, about what happen to all the good movies, years from now when you could have had the chance to see a movie that someone cared enough about to make through the fans voice, and hopes in a movie theater. , but that experience is gone now, because you took some adive from someone who viewd the movie in a shitty way, and the complete opposite it was intended to be viewd as.

I guess one other thing that they left out also was that the Alien's acidic blood completely neutralizes when it dies. That probably explains why Sanaa Lathan was able to put her hand in the Alien's head, but probably not why the Pred was able to mark her with the dead facehugger's blood. Not that I'm complaining, just thought it was pretty weird and a little inconsistent.
