Goodfellas & Pulp Fiction, if for no other reason than they haven't been mentioned yet.

I opening sequence in Spiderman 1 and 2 i think are great. And Ghost Ship! not a great movie overall, but intersting concept, and the opening sequence was just awesome.

"something's gotta give" when we see few women who are very young and very very nice. Scene with hend-picked music 🙂

WEll the Two Towers had an awesome opening, Gandalf and the Balgrog fighting. As did X2, where Nightcrawler fought in the white house. Star Wars was always an excellent one. Gladiator and that opening battle was awesome as well.

Saving Private Ryan is by far the best!! But here are some pretty close ones

I'll go with Star Wars: New Hope just for the classics. But for a more obscure one, check out National Lampoon's European Vacation. When Chevy Chase and family are on the "Pig in a Poke" game show in the pig costumes. The freaky, horny game show host kills me. I'm on the floor, I tell ya. 😛

ghost ship did have a good opening sequence but then it went downhill IMO. but saving privite ryan has got to be the best IMO
