that is wehn collussos joined magneto
he and all of avelon were required to wear that uniform..

avelon is magneto's asteroid thing.

This is a costume that Colossus wore as one of Magneto’s Acolytes. All have a similar design, though sometimes the color scheme is purple and red, while other times dark-blue and red. [Excalibur #71]

damn that one was cool, he should have stuck with it

Shortly after the fall of Avalon, which was the Acolytes’ base, Colossus wore a new costume, which he wore when he came to join Excalibur. [Uncanny X-Men #325]

After Excalibur disbanded, Colossus, like some of his teammates, rejoined the X-Men and returned to his classic look [Uncanny X-Men #360]

....

And...

In the following months, the X-Men adopted some sort of team look. Each costume had a big X across the chest area and Colossus’ had shoulder pads similar to Nightcrawler’s. Otherwise, the suits were still individual and came in different colors. [X-Men (2nd series) #100]

I'll do this batch by batch. And Colossus would be the last for Batch 1.

The Second Batch

Polaris (1st of 12)

After Lorna’s latent magnetic powers were brought forth by a mutant energy stimulator, Mesmero gave her a costume that contained both elements inspired by Magneto’s helmet and classic Greek designs. After all, she was to be the queen of a mutant army. [Uncanny X-Men #50]

When Shi’Ar agent Eric the Red brainwashed Lorna into serving him, he gave her the codename Polaris and a new Shi’Ar costume. [Uncanny X-Men #97]

During the few incidents that Polaris helped out as a reserve X-Man, she was seen wearing both her costumes.

Polaris (3rd of 12)

Right after the psychic identity Malice assumed control over Lorna’s body, she used her magnetic powers to create herself a new costume and a hairstyle to match it. [Uncanny X-Men #219]

(that's all for now, brb)

clap Polaris!!!!

😎

Polaris (4th of 12)

When Polaris’ magnetic powers were stolen, the psychic entity was removed as well. Strangely, Lorna developed a new power afterwards and, by drawing from negative emotional energy around her, she grew in size and possessed increased strength and stamina. Lorna received a modified, standard X-uniform when she had herself examined on Muir Island. [Uncanny X-Men #254]

Polaris (5th of 12)

Like the other residents of the island, Lorna fell prey to the Shadow King and, under his influence, she began to wear a “bathing suit” version of the standard X-uniform. [Uncanny X-Men Annual #15]

Polaris (6th of 12)

After Polaris was freed from the Shadow King’s influence and her new powers were disrupted, her former magnetic powers returned. Following an invitation from Val Cooper, Lorna joined the governmentally sanctioned X-Factor. Although the team look was optional, Lorna agreed to the new uniform. [X-Factor #71]
