You know I'm going to confess something here. I come to the KMC boards for 2 reasons. One reason is because I'm a moderator and I always have to check the forum which I have been assign to make sure things are in order. The second reason is becuase I love to get away from the real world for at least a few minutes, so that I can communicate my favorite things (video games, movies, art, QT,philosophy, anime/manga, DVD's...etc) with other people.
Now, do to some changes that have occur in KMC. Political threads are permitted. Unfortunally is being done too many times. Don't get me wrong I respect ppl for having different opinions. But, discussing the same subject over and over and OVER again kinda kills the fun for me.
So you want to know what I think? I no longer care WHO, WHAT, WHATEVER wins the election.
I'm sick beyond belief of ALL the political things happening in the world outside. I need refuge, I need to get away from that, I need to get my head off politics. I'm sick of looking at George W. Bush and John Kerry. I'm sick of listening to Bush supporter and Kerry supporters. Heck, I'm even sick of listening to Independants (which I support) All I want is to get away from that.
But I can't! Why? Because every time I come to my place of fun (KMC forums) I always ALWAYS find some thread saying something about Bush or about Kerry. Is just a HUGE overkill for me to see all these threads. Again, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying please stop or don't post anymore. All I'm saying is that I'm sick of reading American politics in a place which I call....."refuge from the real world."
Sure, I can always ignore the threads. Unfortunally they are nearly everywhere I go in The OTF or GDF. I'm not complaining, I'm just giving you my opinion. Don't think I'm whining, but I gotta get this off my chest. I feel like my refuge from the real world has been disecrated.
That's what KMC is for me. A place to run away from the tormenting politics of the USA and the world.
Don't get me wrong fella, I'm not trying to pin it all on you. But you gotta understand that some of us are a little tiny bit sick of reading titles with the names "Bush", "Kerry", "Blair", "Saddam", "Bin Ladin". So what I'm saying is that we are just about out of our minds with all this Bush and Kerry topics.

"yup. like i said... (ithink) in bible it says as christians, help to keep the peace of jerusalem... and the rest of the world. bush has a lot of pressure on him, anti christians hate him, war vets hate him( mostly).
i also think kerry is dumb cuz he was in the vietnam war, then protested on it after willingly volunteering 4 it. he does "everything"."

I was very impressed with Bush's nomination acceptance speech yesterday.
Not with the contents of the speech itself but at his delivery of it.
I dont think I've ever seen him fake smile so much! 😂
All I could think about as he listed his agenda for the next 4 years was that he had these past 4 years to accomplish those tasks.
He did not.
What's that old cliche?....past behaviour is the best indication of future behaviour? Bye bye Bush!
And I just loved how during every shot of the audience they were zooming in on the 6 black people that were in the audience! 😂
I believe they showed 1 particular black woman 5 separate times! 😂
And those "America is Safer" signs? What a joke!

Whether you like it or not, Dubya is going to win. Kerry has had every chance to prove himself and blew it. I'm not saying Dubya is the best man for the job, but during wartime most folks would rather keep the status quo than gamble on something new, especially something new with no real agenda or stance on anything.
Really though, I'm just happy that all the Bush haters like Tex will have to suffer through 4 more years of the man. You bitchy little malcontents dont deserve any better. 😄
It's only wartime because Dubya made it so.
