No, it's not. Having a couple of them is fine, but you've had some posts where over the span of a sentance you'd have 3, and they'd all be the same one.

oh ... i see... the smilies usually take the place of sarcasm for me

No worries, jut busting your chops a bit. 😛

Well, frankly, the US has it's own debt problems to deal with...

Yes, we do have freedom. But it's not as total as most people seem to think. The Patriot Act, among other things, allows the government to see what library books you've checked out. Checking out Lord of the Rings can get you put on a watchlist. Yeah. That's allowing us freedom. And about the gov't hardly being able to touch the media...if that were true, why would government agencies (FCC in particular) be kicking up such a stink about censorship? You have heard of the "7 words not allowed on TV", right? And apparently you're forgetting about the total media bias that exists...

And I don't think that we have the right to be telling other countries how they need to be run.

(I edited out all your damn smilies because they were driving me insane)

Ok, post 9/11 world?

Ok, im sorry, but it is very ego centrical to think that the whole world should know and mourn 9/11. There is no differance between a bomb landing on a church somewhere in Africa or mosque somewhere in Iraq or hospital somewhere in Serbia where the USA is bombing and killing innocent civilians, and the planes flying into two skyscrapers and killing innocent civilians.

There is no differance whatsoever, apart from the fact that this time, it has happened in your country.

Don't be ridiculous. Lil. The world has changed significantly, in major historical ways, since 9/11. Just because that change sprouted from the US does not stop it from affecting the world entire. History will see 9/11 as a milestone in global change. Political analysts from all countries and cultures, from the White House to the French parliament to the extremist Muslim clerics in Iran, are using the term 'post 9/11 world' as an accepted statement of fact.

Don't let your general contempt for your (perception of) American arrogance blind you to simple facts; anyone is entitled to use that term.

Anyway, i pretty much agree with all you said, and im glad there are still people wo understand that all Bush is doing is playing on American's fear. He used 9/11 to pass the laws which actually DO take away your rights!

RaventheOnly> If you think you have freedom, than you are extreamly deluded! You are living in impearilistic / dictatorship country who has pulled the smoke screen over your eyes and made you believe there is some kind of democracy.
What kind of freedom do you have exactly if your governement can spy on you at any time 😱 wow, a lot of privacy there!!

Yeah, sure...i think you'll find that extreamist muslim Clerics refer to 9/11 as ''Towering moment for Muslims'' not ''post 9/11 world'' thats the name people in west gave it.

history? Yes, history will see 9/11, but will it also see the bombing of Iraq, will it also see the fact that America gave guns and weapons and made Al Qaida to fight off Russians, and then those same people turned arround and attacked America on its own grounds? Subject: Resume of George Bush

Past Work Experience

I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.

I produced a Hollywood slasher B movie.

I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas; the company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

With my father's help and name, I was elected Governor of Texas.

Accomplishments as Governor

I changed pollution laws in favor of the power and oil companies and made Texas the most polluted state in the Union.

I replaced Los Angeles with Houston as the most smog-ridden city in America.

I cut taxes and bankrupted Texas government to the tune of billions in borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any Governor in American history.

I became U.S. President after losing the popular vote by over 500,000 votes with the help of major Enron money and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court.

Accomplishments as President

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I entered my office with the strongest economy in U.S. history and have turned every single economic category downward -- all in less than two years.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most resented country in the world, possibly the largest failure of diplomacy in World history.

I am the first president in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal
record.

I set the the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one year period.

I am supporting development of a "Tactical Bunker Buster" nuke, a WMD.

I am getting our troops killed, under the lie of Saddam's procurement of Yellow Cake Nuke WMD components, then blaming the lie on our British friends.

I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. president.

In my first year in office over 2-million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any president in U.S. history.

I set the record for least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television.

I signed more laws and executive orders effectively amending or ignoring the Constitution than any president in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history and refused to use national reserves as past presidents have done.

I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people) shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I've dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in U.S. history.

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in U.S. history.

My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

I am the first president in U.S. history to have almost all 50 states of the Union simultaneously suffer massive financial crisis.

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any country in history.

I am the first president in U.S. history to order a pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the world community.

I created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States.

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any president in history.

I am the first president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I am the first president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Elections Monitoring Board.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in U.S. history.

I rendered the entire United Nations viewpoints irrelevant.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war"
(detainees) and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

I am the first president in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation) presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history. My political party used the Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the
U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.

I am first president in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.

I am the first U.S. president in history to have the people of South Korea more threatened by the U.S. than by their immediate neighbor, North Korea.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I set an all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated U.S. law by not selling their huge personal investments in corporations bidding for U.S. contracts.

I failed to fulfill my pledge to capture Osama Bin Laden, dead or alive.
I failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the U.S. Capitol Building. Even after 18 months I have no leads and no credible suspects.

In the past 18 months following the World Trade Center attack I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.

I removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any president in U.S. history.

In a little over two years, I created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided since the Civil War.

Records and References:

I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine. My Texas driving record has been erased and is not available. 😂😂

I was AWOL from the National Guard.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.

All records of my tenure as Governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed, and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into insider trading or bankrupt
companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

Please consider my experience when voting in 2004.

I guess it would say a lot about those who vote this man back into power 😐

imperialist dictatorship huh? you have no idea what it is like to have your freedom takin away... ❌ cry me a river... try living in Eastern Europe during the 1950's 60's 70's and 80's ...oh and Iraq from 70-2001. Imperialism is the brutal take over and submission of countries for reasources and strategic positions coupled with policestate and total submission of political freedom. If you haven't noticed the last country to suffer a bit of imperialism from the US was the Philipeans until they were made free in the 70-80's

you have no idea how war works... you say bombng just because you try to ignore the infantry on the ground trying to hold off the cowards hiding in the crowds firing at them from the windows... you paint the insurgents like they are freedom fighters or patriots or they are the victums ... even though they were the ones taking men women and children to be slaughtered in mass graves... they were the former employees of a true dictatorship and attempted imperialist state.

If you have any idea about history you would know that the Russians were attempting to turn Afganistan into a Communist state and funded the entire region with its Soviet hardware since the 50's. We were playing the Cold War game and we trusted people who did not want to be Communists and funded them to due so.

It is a very valid factor that the US did help Osama and his followers during the Invasion of the Soviets in Afghanistan during the late 70's and early 80's. When you look back into history this whole chain of events can be trace back very far, but a key point of all this chaos began during the Cold War.

As we know, post WWII left most of the European nations devasted. The war again'st the Nazi caused many nations to through a rebuild process that nearly took 10 years or so. Now, which Eastern European nation had a good army standing after the war? That's right! The RED ARMY. So this was a PERFECT timing for Stalin and his soviet buddies to impose a "Steel Curtain" over all of Europe.

Now this was something a Capitalist Nation like America would not allowed! The fact that American politics and Soviet politics ideology hated each other i.e. Capitalism vs. Communism. Caused Americans politics to stand against the Soviets. And without going into too much detail or blah blah blah.....The Cold War began.

Going back to Afghanistan and Osama they were perfect examples of the result of the Cold War bitterness that possesed America and the USSR. I could also include others like Cuban missile crisis, Vietnam or Central America (and trust ME I have something HUGE to say about that!) But the point is that I'm trying to make is that 9/11 is horrible event in History. But it isn't really consider a milestone. The real Milestone of History is the Cold War. The world wasn't the same after WWII and American politics and Soviet politics spawn many events that even today they haven't been resolved.

What I want to see out of Bush (if he is re-elected) is to try to work those holes left over by the Cold War. There are many nations that need support after the fall of Soviet Union. During the 90's most of these nations were rebuilding, but some were left alone. So, yes what needs to be done is to help those Eastern European nations that were affected by the fall of Soviet Union.

Well, thats my view on all of these current political chaos.

Pfft. Things like arming the Taliban are just one in a million different examples of arming potential enemies for convenience at the time. History will only give it passing notice as a note about the dangers of active diplmacy that have backfired on many nations over time. People make too much of that. History will judge the US far more fairly than you are.

Do try and be vaguely accurate, btw; the US never armed Al-Qaeda. Such historical looseness and ignorance pervades this thread.

News flash!! 😱 I have lived in eastern Europe in the late '80s! 😱

You just go on living in your own little world, support bush and the rest. Its a good thing there are people in American like Tptmanno1, BadKitty Silver Stardust and Tex.

Moderate americans like them need to get their voice heard, because the rest of the world seems to hear only what people like you have to say.
