Captain America vs Black Panther

what if Capt America keeps on putting up his shield? and no one can attack anyone

T'challa would take Cap. He brings more to the table in a spontaneous altercation. If Cap attempts a shield toss BP's reflexes are good enough that he could not only dodge the shield, but possibly catch it off of a ricochet and toss it away, leaving Cap unarmed. Next comes the energy dagger and vibranium claws and, well, T'Challa plays to win.

BP 7/10.

after further research...i changed my pick to black panther...not only is he smarter, he is faster and stronger...the only thing that Cap is going for him is his fighting skills, and that's not enough to beat the panther...Black Panther wins!

Cristopher Priest (inarguably -the- Black Panther writer) has said, "I feel that T'challa and Captain America are about equal... with Cap maybe a little more powerful, but with T'Challa being a little faster."

Cap has his shield, T'Challa has his vibranium throwing daggers.... I don't know. This is one fight that is really, totally up in the air, IMO. 5/5.

This fight is totally up in the air, but id pick Black Panther. His speed would off set the slight advantage caps has in power.

it would be a great fight. broken bones would be plentiful, but i fear to my regret, cap would win.

If T`challa is using his vibranium suit and tools...add that together with his prep time ability and being phisically enchanted as cap hmmmm he gets the nod for me.

If there are about equal in strength - OK- but are not bench pressing here. Black Panther is indeed quicker - while not by much - he is still quicker. Please his bulletproof suit and claws would help. Say Cap throws his shield at him - Black pather would 9/10 catch it and start using it. Even if he didn't use it with the shield or even wit it would take one grap of CAP's body parts of a quick stab of the energy dagger. Cap just can't keep up.

How much do each of them bench? I get the feeling that both are physically very alike, ala Thor and Hercules. Martial arts the same thing. Both had fough the best...

BlackPanther sucks, his character sucks, his name sucks. Marvel gives him pity respect, because at first he was nothing more than an in-joke race gag.
He sucks, but he'd win.

Throwing a shield at him would be the worst thing to do, and it would offer no cover against BP, he has Anti-Metal claws that basically undoes the molecules of any metal, even adamantium, making it useless and mushy.

i'm gonna give it to cap because he (in my opinion) is the better fighter (skills-wise) than the black panther. They are physically both at the very maximum of human ability.
