Please correct me if I am wrong but most people that don't like hp never even read the book.And for them to think right away that it is evil is wrong to do so.
Harry Potter is like Lord of the rings and such.It is faction.As far I know there is nothering evil about the books at all.I mean JK Rowling wrote it for kids for god stake.
All I can say to those people who think hp is evil to go read the book first under line anything that say anything to the devil and then come back and talk to me about it!JM 💃
I think those who put HP down misunderstand what Rowling is saying with the books. It's about good versus evil, coming of age, friendships and loyalties, and about the different kinds of people there are in the world. I think she is doing a valuable service in this age where a lot of ideals are mocked or even ignored. I am also proud that I converted my mum to the series.
Nah, Harry is obviosuly written as the good guy, the hero in the story, where he fights forces of evil. Hogwarts even has a teacher who trains the students how to combat and defend themselves from those who use the dark arts (Voldermort etc). It is misconception to those in the christian community, as they have never opened one of the books, so they are acting on speculation.
You never see anybody trying to get rid of the book called "Hey kid's, magic is real, go light your cat on fire with the spells in this book!"
Its all a publicity thing, Harry Potter is popular, and it has witchs and wizards in it, therefore they bash it to gain publicity.
Its a make believe story people, if you raised your kids to know the difference between real and make believe, you shouldnt have to worry about this stuff.

my parents are wiccan...so i know alot about good forces and evil ones.
evil is people that exsept evil into they're hearts and deny god...don't say it isn't true...look anywhere in the bible and it will tell you that the only way you can be damed to hell is for denying god...if you believe in him...you shall be saved and shall be allowed to enter the gates of heaven,my parents are wiccan......there is a difference from good and evil..a VERY long line between it.....my parents and I are on the good side....there is also a difference from black magic and just magic...black magic is where they kill goats and paint the blood on the walls.good is where you celebrate...mess with it a few times...leave it alone....it's mostly used for healing and protecting..although...there are people that use it for other things....such as hexing.....if you open your heart to evil..it will consume you and you will become it...BUT....Harry Potter is fighting against it...he wouldn't be fighting against it if he were on it's side now would he?

I feel the series is a modern fairy tale, and shows how kids strong with God get to learn from those spiritual leaders who can teach them to use their gifts ion ways that prmotes them and their unusual abilities.
In this day and age, if anyone did a movie about children learning about God or Jesus, they would get censored, ala Mel Gibson, so HP tells the same kind of story but in a way that we can better appreciate.
As for those so called christians. they need to really read the stories before assuming the series tells kids to go learn witchcraft.
They are missing the point.
