DD is a better version of Nightwing.
Strength-DD.He has casually curled 400lbs weights, easily twirled them around like a staff and thrown them at speed across a room.He has bent prison bars, tipped over a limo and effortlessly dangled a very large 200+ pound man over a ledge using only one arm.He is noticeably stronger than NW.
Speed-DD makes a habit of blocking/deflecting gunfire with his batons.He has demonstrated he has enough speed/reflexes to keep up with the likes of Spiderman in straight fights. Before you get a boner, I'm not saying he is faster or as fast as Spiderman.However Nightwing is also rather fast and I'm sure the difference (if any) is small.
Durability-DD has taken shots from mind-controlled Spiderman and black suited pissed off Spiderman and lived. He has taken shots from Tombstone and lived. He is as durable as is humanly possible. He is at least peak human. He also took a bullet to the leg from Bullseye and managed to fight for a bit and stay conscious.NW basically passed out after being shot in the leg during the War Games arc. Again the difference IMO is not great here.
Skill/fighting ability.
DD can easily be said to be in the top 5 of Marvel's fighters. NW can no way be said to be in the top 5 of DC's fighters. Captain America regards DD's skill very highly. DD once successfully fought 100 armed yakuza who were tanked up on the mutant drug MGH. He did so in under three minutes and totally unarmed after they attacked him and his wife in the street. He has demonstrated a far better grasp of pressure point etc knowledge than NW ever has. In fact only guys like Batman etc have ever shown that kind knowledge. He is the better more skilled fighter.
However the real clincher is that DD has his superhuman senses. Do you realise that he will know exactly when NW is about to attack him? Well that is what his senses can do. He will basically be reading a weaker, less skilled, slightly slower and slightly less durable opponent. How does Nightwing win here?
Nightwing pwned 3 armed men dodged gun fire did acrobatic flips while on crutches he is no slouch but DD is stronger slighting faster and more skilled no doubt but nightwing would win a couple by the way Nightwing has been beating on Blockbuster since he was a child and the man has bullet proof skin, super strength and durability he's more of a tactical fighter reading his opponent and slowly breaking them down bit by bit like Scott Summers. Let's face it physically Dick is slighty out classed in everyway but intellect and acrobatics. But he still leads any team he is a part of almost flawlessly he's a leader before all like Scott Summers.

and FYI, horrible way to get me to stop..........callin' me out and what not,but just because i want to, i'll explain myself concerning my decision:
DD is NW's equal in speed/agility at the most. the fact is that he isn't even always stated as peak considering that category. NW is simply DC earth's most agile human.
skill is pretty even too, but id i had to choose, i'd say nightwing.
DD takes stength, but in a match such as this, it's not too important.
DD and NW are just too similar for me to choose. i say it can go either way.
Daredevil ftw. I do like both characters, but Matt has NW beat in pretty much every category. Ive debated with others about DD's agility vs NW, but on average, DD's acrobats outclass NW's. By much? Probably not, but DD's acrobatic feats impress me more.
If gadgets are involved, NW may take it depending on what he uses. On average, id go with DD for a clear majority.
Okay in all seriousness DD's senses outclass Nightwing's no arguments, but I would say in every other category they are equal, strength, agility etc. Now I would probably want more details on the fight but, I still see Nightwing winning. His senses aren't up to DD level, but they are at the best they could be for an average highly trained human. Moreover, he is the first and best protege of the Batman, so granted whatever gadgets he is packing are going to greatly surpass those of DD. Therefore, this fight would be really close. But I would give it to Nightwing due to gadgets.
