I love the one tomb that says "Son of Joseph" that totally has to be Jesus's tomb because there was only one Joseph in all of history who had a son. The tomb where Jesus was buried in Japan might be more amusing at a passing glance, though.
Lemme try:
I love that every tomb found that could potentially belong to the "Jesus", that is dated around the right time, has data that would seem to fit "Jesus"' family, and makes name references that also fit the requirements is immediately dismissed as being silly hopeful rubbish.
Of course, that's just hyperbole, but you get the point. Parallels should remain as parallels and no one should make them more or less than just that.

Mary and Jospeh were very common names at the time and it is literally the only evidence they have suggesting it might be the tomb of Jesus. Calling it "silly hopeful rubbish" is rather polite. Some people wanted to make money off of Christianity, that's it.

I was speaking in much more general terms and not about a specific tomb. My point was, both sides sling shit and each side's arguments can be spun/twisted to fit an agenda. I demand science invents a time machine. 😠 😠 😠
Edit - Or a godlike AI that can give us the answers we seek.

The King James Bible is the Word of God in the English language, but you guys knew I would say that...
I disagree! The Bible has historical value, and some good stories, but it was written by humans, and not by a god. Just because a book claims to be the word of a god does not mean that it is. It just means that the people who wrote the book wanted others to believe what they said. Saying that a book is the word of a god puts a lot of weight behind the book.

...because there is a lot of weight behind the book. It's the Word of God.
No one believes the Bible to have been written by God. Though Christians believe it to be the word of God.
Yes, it was written (as in, written down) by men, but it was inspired by God. It's not just some book of stories. It is God's revelation to man. 🙂

The koran also claims to be the word of god. Why don’t you believe in that book? The answer is simple, you were raised in the west were the bible is taught to be the word of god. If you had been raised in the middle east, you would believe that the koran was the word of god. The trust is that nether book is the word of any god. You are the victim of a fraud, but if it makes you happy, then be happy.

I pretty much agree with everything in this post. You are one damn sexy person, Shakya.

I don't believe that book because it tells me to worship the Arabian moon god...
Let me tell you a story: I was raised Roman Catholic from the day I was born, and was a Catholic for 15 years, and I never ONCE read a Bible. The priests tell you you don't need to. And because I never read the Bible, I never knew anything about God or Jesus or anything like that. That led me to staying in that religion for 15 years before following Buddhism. And from Buddhism I went into New Age. And it wasn't until I was witnessed to with a KJV Bible that I got saved.
So no, I didn't grow up being taught the Bible was the Word of God. I grew up being taught that the Bible wasn't necessary.
